basic background information: hubby is completing his masters program and until this last couple of semesters has worked long and strenuous hours with barely any time to sleep or eat. During this time I was supporting us financially and often working 7 days a week with health problems that caused me to pop pain pills and lie in bed crying every moment I wasn't at work. Needless to say, this caused a lot of strain on our relationship. I wanted so badly to please him, to cook for him, to keep the apartment clean for him, but I became very resentful of being our main income and also being "expected" (quotations because I put this idea on myself - he is very understanding and kind and didn't expect me to be at 100%) to play the housewife role.

These last two semesters have been absolutely incredible. He has been in an internship where he makes plenty enough money for us to afford what we need, and I work a couple of part time jobs that keep us comfortable financially while also giving me more free time to keep up with my womanly duties. This fall, though, he will be leaving his job to attend another very strenuous class that is necessary to complete his degree.

I have already discussed with him ways that I can make him feel supported and help with his stress as much as possible, so my question is this:

How do you suggest I personally prepare for this difficult time? It's in a few months, but I feel like I need a game plan and perhaps to start implementing some changes now so that it will be a more smooth transition. While I'm dreading it, it's also a bit exciting because it is an opportunity to really step up my game and I love the thought of being able to make his life easier while he is working so hard. It's going to be a challenge but one that is worthwhile, and I want to be able to meet it with confidence.
