My previous ranty post was removed on account of me not familiarizing myself with the sidebar. I'm sorry about the incoherent post. I've read the sidebar, I may have forgotten some of course but I swear I've read it. If there's a particular post that would clearly help me, please tell me what particular post to reread. I still feel there's a problem.
"Recognizing the world for what it is and dealing graciously with your place in it, as well as putting significant effort into elevating your place to the best of your ability, does, and leads to greater overall happiness."
So, I am in a relationship that I don't want to end. The relationship was formed in a situation where obviously our interests and our perception of reality aligned since we became a couple. How does me putting effort into elevating my place to the best of my ability HELP AT ALL in keeping the relationship alive, if he does not do the same and more (elevates his place even above me)?
If the risk to the relationship is and has been all the time that I will ruin it and get bored of him and annoyed with him and leave him, on account of it being easier for me to do and my biology saying I should, then me elevating my SMV and RMV will make it more difficult for me to stay. Him seeing my SMV and RMV elevate should make him more insecure, which is the opposite of what I want him to be. Elevating your MV is fine and great if you're single man/woman or a man in the relationship, but I don't see how it would help a woman in a relationship.
Someone please explain this to me.
I'm thinking the only way to make the relationship work is me continuously adjusting my perception so that I never feel like I'm worthy of him. But doing that doesn't seem sincere or respectful. It sounds like... if he found out he spent his life with someone like that, it would crush him.
