Talking femininely?

I struggle with that a lot! Something that my pastor always told us is "what comes out of your mouth is a reflection of what's in your heart."

Wit and sarcasm doesn't make you unfeminine but it can, if that's the only way you communicate. Here's my list of good feminine communication:

keep it clean! It's not impressing anyone. (I fail at this so much😟)
either have something of substance to say or keep your mouth shut. Make your words mean something.
don't answer/talk for your man. He's not a child and is perfectly capable to answer for himself. Not to mention that's really rude.
don't be rude. There's always a nicer way to convey something.
always chose kindness. Chose to uplift, encourage, and praise others rather than chide or judge. I struggle with this a lot.
take that gum out of your mouth or make sure you're not popping it like a 12 year old.
if you have volume issues, try to get used to talking/laughing as if someone's trying to sleep in the next room.

I also have a bolder voice but I'm generally quiet so it doesn't come out that much. My humor is also rather dark, dry, and sarcastic and it's actually part of why my husband loves me. He finds my humor to be witty but respectful, forthright when it needs to be. I don't think you need to "speak feminine". Be yourself and be proud, nothing is more attractive than that.

I'm working on that also. What I've been doing is toning things down gradually. I have found some women in my circle who can do this. It's almost an art. They can speak in a feminine manner and still get their point across.

So I'm trying to adopt their techniques into my speaking style.

Although I do think that sometimes sarcasm and wit is appropriate, it's just knowing when, where, and how to use it

Depends on what kind of sarcasm and dark humor you have, does it happen to be the insulting type? If not, just say it with a smile on your face and make sure your body language is not aggressive. You don't have to give up parts of your personality for this, just a little fine tuning

Speaking from your heart 💖 (with feeling) can help. The way you speak reflects the way you are.

Smiling while speaking is an easy one. (In theory)

Certain types of heart based meditation 🧘‍♀️ take this to another level by smiling to your heart (while doing anything). Touching your heart (palm flat on your chest) as if you were deeply touched (which you would be if you do that) is also a good aid.

I've been working on this for months. I tried having a softer voice while intimate with the Captain, cause he finds it arousing. Then, I started paying attention to the way women with soft voices speak. I'd make effort to imitate such voices when I was alone, and see which one suits me most, before slowly incorporating it in my daily life. I still have a harsher voice when I don't pay attention to how I speak, but I am getting there.

Watch some old movies. A softer, controlled voice is preferred over a loud, brash, brassy one. Also, speaking slower. Avoid nasal tones; speak from your chest. And don't interrupt or be snide and sarcastic; be warm and welcoming.

Also, take singing lessons.

Another thing to do is find someone with a nice voice, a 50s Hollywood star for example, and watch interviews or movie clips with them. Catch things they do that you like. See if you can mirror that.
