1) drink. water. Throughout the day, and with all your meals. Drink water and wait before eating. You're probably less hungry than you think. Chilled, room temperature, ice, whatever you like.

2) stop eating so many carbons and hydrogens, eat more nitrogens; more protein, fewer carbohydrates. your carbs should come from having eaten things with fiber, lots of it; vegetables, whole grains (but mostly vegetables)

3) If you can't name at least five different types of beans and vegetables and recipes that involve them, you're doing it wrong

4) no artificial lights (particularly device screens) 30 minutes to an hour before bed time - - consistent bed time, consistent wakeup time, let natural light hit your face in your bedroom.

5) stop smoking

6) stop drinking

7) sunscreen, highest SPF you can. Big floppy sun hats, Parasols, do whatever if you're going to be out in the sun each day

8) exercise however you can to the point you break a sweat and raise your heart rate. Become sweaty, feel flushed. Do it every other day for 30 minutes. Don't delay cleaning yourself. (Lift)

This amazingly complex and arcane set of guidelines will see you lose excess fat, stop feeling lethargic, feel even better than you do now if you're not tired all the time, improve your focus, and make you look better, regardless of your gender

Yup, everyone made fun of me my teens and 20s b/c I was a pale girl. I look much younger than my sister and her friends who always laid out in the sun, they are only two years younger than me but definitely look older. Even went my sister got married in Chicago and I came up from Texas, they were all more tan than me because they fake bake. ugh so bad for your skin!!!

Another big tip: retinol or alpha hydroxyl cream. Have been using the simply, fairly cheap Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Retinol cream since I was about 25, I'm 35 now and yes, it does make a difference.

This doesn't make any sense. Protein has nitrogen but also has carbon and hydrogen as part of the amino acid structure. Healthy fats have lots of carbons and hydrogens. Water has lots of hydrogen as it is dihyrodgen monoxide.

Are you recommending eat more protein and vegetables?

Great advice. I'm 5 years older than my roommate and I cringe everytime she tells me she's going to the beach and doesn't wear sunscreen because she 'doesn't burn' (and we live in australia!!). People think I'm younger than her, but I also eat really well while she exists on fast food and crap. We are both thin, but I think the nutrient difference really shows in things like skin/general glow/health look.

Also don't forget your hands!!! Hand creams with SPF!

Sunscreen for sure and sunglasses! The squinting makes your eyes all wrinkly. I used to live in the north east USA. Now I live in the tropics. Two straight years of never ending sun is destroying all my skin :( the sun is not to be trifled with.

Yep! I've always gotten comments about how young I look (pale + babyface). I hated it when I was younger, but I sure am appreciating it now! I've always been pale, always avoided the sun or wore spf. Now I do it more religiously, not just for that but also because skin cancer runs in my family.

Yes, great advice. I always wear sunscreen under my makeup, and never tan. I'll turn 30 next month and many people think I'm still in my early-mid 20s. Hoping that trend continues as I get older.
