Not too much to report for last week - I was sick so most of it is a blur! I do need to work on expressing myself, being ok with asking for help, and communicating my emotions. I tend to withdraw when I'm feeling either emotionally or physically ill, which bothers my SO. He's much more talkative than I am, has a large family and social network - so pretty much the opposite of me! I've been so used to taking care of myself (previous SO was fairly detached an unemotional, and not close to family) that this is new territory for me.

This week has been entirely UGLY, UGLY, UGLY, I'm afraid.

I really thought I was making such great progress and we had an amazing holiday abroad last week. The kids were fabulous and SO and I were so intimate and close. We even briefly discussed a third child.

But on our trip back home, I saw him glanzing (what I at the time perceived as flirting) at a young blonde girl and all my insecurities came back full speed and I immediately put up a huge wall... And I started reading on MRP again which further sparked my insecurites.

My SO shallowed the pill a little over a year ago and I've seen a lot of positives emerge from that; he's more committed to our kids, to work, to our home and more assertive in the bedroom. But he also went through with some of the higher dread levels - he says he's stopped that - but I'm terrified that he now uses PUA skills whenever he walks out the door and that he will at some point cheat on me.

These feelings emerge from time to time and when they do I just want to RUN. I'm having a hard time working through them and getting to a point where I trust him. He's an amazing man and I really want to be able to trust him.

I'm determined to better myself. Any advice on letting go of insecurities and building trust are very much appreciated.

This past week has been a whirlwind. More car repairs, kiddo has the flu, husband got the flu, hiking, birthday parties and more! The two days my husband spent at the mechanic was stressful, and there was some flare ups, but I handled them better than normal. He commented yesterday that he appreciates how things have been much more relaxed and how even when we had a spat I handled it so much better than normal.

One thing I am working on is do stop second guessing him.

Health wise, gah. I have some to loose and have been trying. I am current down 10 lbs since 2/08, but I have lost like 25 lbs, just the last 5 have been the same ones over and over.

Next week we will be joining the YMCA which I am very excited about. My plan is to stop in there at least 3 times a week. I also want to start yoga.

We are also going to start learning ASL together. It is something I have always been interested in, and doing signs with our daughter when she was not yet verbal was awesome. It is still great at places like tumbling or swim class; even now we still use it in large gatherings rather than shouting out or making a scene.

Good - I become more interested in the red pill philosophy. I study it everyday because it's interesting.

Bad - I didnt cook for my family and I gained a few lbs. Need to start that again but I'm learning.

The good - I'm getting back into the habit of making my to-do list for tomorrow in the evening before bed. I jot down the 6 most important things I absolutely must get done, and I'm succeeding on getting everything done in a better more timely manner.

The bad - I'm still crawling back into bed after letting the dog out in the morning before hubby wakes up with his alarm. It's selfish, it disrupts his sleep. He cuddles but I know I'm only making both of us more groggy by doing this so I need to knock it off asap.

Reprise and reflection on my concrete actions for the past week:

I've been more active during the evening. SO noticed it and literally said to me yesterday "You seem to have so much energy left". I also have incorporated the clean-it-right-away mentality into this particular goal
Listening and participating in conversations has been better. I try to be more genuinely interested, i.e. stop focussing on myself and what I'm doing and fully direct my attention towards the person I'm talking to
I've more or less stopped hamstering over the discussion SO and I had last week. This one's entirely on me
My 'diet' has been going well. I am training for a race in April. Keeping the awareness high with the mantra "Eating well is a form of self-respect"

What I want to accomplish this week: keep up all of the above, more self-care (pedicure, dentist), more letting go of things I cannot control and taking responsibility for the rest, no second guessing SO's decisions when painting the house

The good: -Learning to clean while I cook to save time -Learning to stay positive whenever I speak to SO -Smiling more and feeling happier in general

The bad: -I keep feeling the need to fill silences with too much talking. :( -Swearing is still a habit.

The ugly: -Still haven't "leathered up" - took offense when I was being offered criticism that turned out to be constructive

I guess on a scale of BP to RP I'm still "cherry cough syrup" but at the same time this is a process and no one gets it right all the time. Just have to keep reading and improving.

I think I'll get a little more involved and try one of these. I should introduce myself though. I'm 24, senior in college and in a charming, new relationship.

The Good-- Recently set a weight goal a few months ago that I found I accomplished yesterday! 140 down to 128! Gotta tone more though, but never accomplished a body goal, so that's pretty exciting. Found some skin tips on this sub that I tried out and work amazingly. Practically glowing. My SO has been sick the past week and I've taken very good care of him! He's made so many sweet comments like, "You treat me like gold!" and "I can't wait to take you on a date when I'm feeling better!" Maybe not a big deal, but I like knowing he's happy even when he's ill.

The Bad-- I've made a few new snacks and dinner experiments in the kitchen this week, but nothing I'm too proud of. I've never really been a whiz in the kitchen, so that's a skill I'm slowly trying to acquire. Just not always sure where to start. Also, so poorly prepared for post-grad life. Already overwhelmed.

Loving this sub though! So helpful in many ways!

THE GOOD

I just paid off my fiance's student loans with part of my inheritance. It feels amazing! We will be starting our marriage 100% debt-free, and losing a $700/month bill.

Had an extremely disciplined 4 days of diet and exercise. I'm hungry, but I look/feel great.

Fiance and I are headed to Mexico City for an impromptu weekend vacation. I'm super excited! We are going to see Mexican wrestling, a Spanish version of Carrie-the-Musical, visit the Anthropological Museum, the Castle and the Zoo. I'm bringing nothing but flowing, bohemian outfits and plan to eat tacos and drink mezcal totally guilt-free.

Everyone in our families has booked their flights and hotels for our wedding. I can't wait to have everyone here for a visit! And to get married, obviously!

THE BAD

There really hasn't been any bad. There's been a cold-spell so its been harder to get out of bed in the morning. I probably shouldn't have put away all the warm blankets and space heaters so prematurely.

THE UGLY

I am feeling like I suck at my job lately. My boss is just...so good. I need to step up my game in a major way.

The Good: I organized a major but necessary spring cleaning in my apartment. I'm going to surprise my (female) roommate with how clean everything everything is in the living room, bathroom, and kitchen. I made a care package for a boyfriend who is moving full of goodies and kind notes. I organized all my crafting supplies which is great because the spring brings inspiration.

The Bad: Boyfriend above broke up with me because he wants to move and not be tied down. (This was after I gave the care package) I cried a little but I didn't fuss and told him I respected his decision. He's a good man who is going to have lots of successes wherever he goes. Haven't worked out in over a week. I'm also terrified of graduating. Didn't apply to any internships this week.
