Context: Two years in. Solid relationship, he is a true catch. We are happy. Healthy relationship.
My "grievance" I suppose you could call it, is that "the little things" have started to slack on his end, or I am now noticing it more. Now, ladies, most of us could agree that "the little things" matter a ton, give us the warm and fuzzies and are not necessarily the foundation of our strong relationship but surely matter a great deal. I am a believer in working to keep a "honeymoon period" flourishing throughout the relationship no matter the age of it, and thusly I work hard and wisely to consistently keep up with "little behaviors" consistently that coincide with my partners love languages. He is very supportive of me and covers all of my huge bases, but I feel quite lonely lately as I have seen over time there are no goodmorning/goodnight texts much anymore, things of that nature, all having to do with communication, which is my primary love language. Now, of course I am planning to talk to him about this and we have fantastic communication skills. Still, I am quite scared on how to broach the topic of not receiving things that are important to me and that I need in my relationship. A qualm I have is that I feel guilt that he may hear of this and start to do things out of a perceived obligation and not genuine interest. I would like to hear your experiences if you have been in a situation like this and how you navigated it. The spark is there for me, but I do want the "extras" that I was getting when the relationship was newer. Please feel free to lay it on me, I would like a number of voices chiming in if possible! Thank you very much ladies!
