The less people that know about TRP the better I look in comparison.

[–]Dopebear25 points26 points27 points 11 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

To me smaller community to better. This has applied to just about everything I appreciate. Time and time again I've seen much negativity and quality on a decline through sheer volume increase of people frequenting whatever community it may be.

[–]pl231 14 points14 points14 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

because the average person honestly just sucks. seeing as they are clearly more prevalent than people who have redeeming traits, as you increase population the proportion of suckers/non suckers is going to decrease

[–]omnipedia-2 points-1 points0 points 11 years ago [recovered] (0 children) | Copy Link

More precisely the average is average which means average intelligence and less oneness to things that are not also average. When your subject matter is controversial the average people will start getting upset.

We saw this with /r/Libertarian when Ron Paul made it mainstream. First a lot of newbies overwhelmed the groups ability to educate and assimilate them into the culture and eventually the mainstream SJW crowd noticed and be half the sub is trolls there to harass people.

So I agree small is better.

I have seen this many times on the net over the years.

[–]RPModulator 3 points3 points3 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Agreed. Just recently had a conversation with some old school burners, who were bitching about the $25k/day luxury packages to Black Rock that some of the Silicon Vally types are running now, and lamenting the effective death of the festival. I have seen it with a bunch of other events as well.

Frankly, I'm inclined to believe that it would be a good idea to shut this sub down once the subscriber count gets too high . . . Regardless, the longer we stay small, the better.

[–]dave_is_not_here1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago [recovered] (0 children) | Copy Link

well burning man just lost it's appeal. That saves me a lot of time.

[–]Sexualreddit0r1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree with this, but as long as it remains, I think it should be open for study but the books should be closed soon, to new members. I think the rules should be better enforced to keep the signal to noise down and possibly some sort of test should be passed to prove that anyone wanting new membership, has read thru the rules and sidebar resources before being allowed to subscribe.

I wonder if it's possible to create a website that analogs the subreddit, functionality-wise. Then it could simply be moved off site and go private. Like a bbs but without the shitty interface. Just a thought.

Sporting after women, is all well and good but I'd like to see a greater focus on becoming better men, overall. Ultimately, it's the difference between learning a few good strikes that make you look like hot shit, in front dilettantes and actually having a black belt and all of the understanding that accompanies that journey.

I could be a multi millionaire in 16 years time, but I'd still do my bit in the manosphere. IMO, we're doing gods work. I'm not even religious, but this shit is important. Nobody else is doing this, nobody else helps men become masculine or gives them guidance, as feminism gets worse the rather of single motherhood is only going to amp up. TRP is a reaction to that. You have no idea how many guys are googling looking for help on how to deal with girls, how to be confident, why they feel out of place and blah blah blah but they just haven't come across TRP yet.

Once you "get it" and it all falls into place courtesy of the experiences of other men and theories shared on TRP, the least you can do is give back to the place that basically permitted you your manhood, that is, gave you the tools you need to hone what was innately possible inside you, but never had a means to hone.

I kind of see TRP like charity work for the less fortunate, as well as self-development and learning in the areas in which I currently lack. I'm a person that's hungry for knowledge and likes to share knowledge, so I could read an entire library of books relevant to men and helping them be stronger/better/smarter, I could understand all the TRP theory down to a T, have all the in-field experience with women and have my personal insights confirm others' insights, but I'd still be here, helping, because people need this shit. Those who have been here for too long take it for granted. If TRP disappeared tomorrow and you're not the man you want to be yet, say you understand some of the theory but your confidence is still shot to shit, you disagree with some things and you still have no place for "guy talk". do you think you would get there? Do you think you would become the man you want to be? The newbies worship TRP, those who have been here awhile (lurking or not) forget how important it is. Those who have seen huge improvements think they're above it and so move on, but not me.

Realtalk between men and techniques for eliminating problems in life in many aspects is a scarce resource indeed.

I like to see this sub as a process of life coaching. Everyone adding his views and observations to discussions is giving input and guidance. Everyone can profit from it and there is no restriction from our side. Now add /r/asktrp to that and we have situation sensitive advice as well. I like to return that favor by posting here.

[–]Endorsed ContributorBluepillProfessor6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

IM speaks the truth. I blog solely to share what I have learned in the past year or so and I also feel as if I am doing God's work opposing Satan's spawn- feminism- and supporting the development of masculinity in our sick, sick, culture. TRP is the only light of truth is a dark circle of the overwhelming power of the feminine imperative.

[–]heeb1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes, dear BluePillProfessor, please tell us your blog URL!

Ever since discovering /r/theredpill, it is now my front page on Reddit. I don't even browse other subs anymore.

[–]NuttMark-1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And we're thankful to all of you for posting. This sub has helped me grow amazingly in the last year and do things I never thought I could.

[–]TheOpposingView 20 points20 points20 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

This is not a movement. This is a library. Let people come and go as they please.

[–]ferrum_cadmiae7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago [recovered] (0 children) | Copy Link

I was thinking about this yesterday---is, is this what a traditional "Men's Club" was like? I don't mean anything with stripper poles and gyrating visible scars, I mean, sit in a posh leathery chair, drinking a single malt and talking, if you feel like it.

[–]haterandhypocrite 9 points10 points11 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Good. Popular subs get unbearable quickly

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Generally subreddits don't really take off unless the admins give them a bump, or two or three or dozens, in /r/blog and other places.

Discussion subreddits are even harder to get a huge bump going. Image based subreddits can take off a lot faster because people love to scroll images (heck, I do too).

Lastly, subscribers may not be the best way to measure activity. I don't subscribe to r/theredpill; I come here exclusively through a multi that I made that includes TRP. a better measure would be the traffic stats that the mods see in their actual hits report.

Lastly lastly, as we all know size does not = quality. In fact sometimes when a subredit gets big too fast the quality goes straight to shit. TRP is the kind of thing that might take several months to get up to speed on, reading posts, reading the sidebar, reading field reports, getting clarification...it's a longish process.

[–]1aguy012 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It really takes months to get the full framework and be able to make small contributions beyond "Women are shit" or give some terrible advice that you don't realize is terrible yet. More and more I see people post horrible advice that doesn't actually align with any core RP teachings. Lots of people posting don't understand a good number of fundamental concepts like A&A, soft nexting etc. and their shit advice gets read by newbies who then parrot it and the more this sub grows the more those fires need to be put out.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I haven't looked in a while but it would help if all the common terms were in a glossary. The last time i looked several were not there.

[–]changshuaidiao7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

A mans path to the redpill should be baptism by fire, not having it all packaged up and delivered to him. If a bunch of teenagers come here with their biggest failure having been "I liked a girl but she kissed another boy" this place is going to be in shambles. I would even say that most of the people who came here didn't to learn something new necessarily, but more to flesh out and articulate the things they already knew through their experiences. If people come here just because they get told it's a place where you can learn to get chicks then they'll miss a really crucial step, which is failing so hard you go searching for answers.

[–]demilitarizdsm0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Thats how it felt here but then again when late teens come here I can only imagine how far ahead theyll be if they get it...

[–]w0nkeyd0nkey1 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I completely agree. Without making the mistakes how can you learn from their lessons?

[–]DudeZoltan 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

So? Take a look at world history, fellas. The majority of men will always be pussybeggars, blue-pillers, betas etc.

TRP isn't trying to change the world. MRAs may be trying to do that, but they've been failing at that since 1926. You cannot change female nature, nor can you liberate men from their sex drive and their naivety.

You can't even discuss TRP outside of TRP. On the rest of Reddit, we're seen as rapists-in-training and even on /r/purplepilldebate you'll only find yourself talking to people who are allergic to reality.

I've been trying to emit so RP truths in my social circle. If you don't use RP terminology, you'll see your male friends agreeing with you enthusiastically. But you know what? They're not going to do anything about it.

You just explained to them that your looks and your paycheck matter more than their nice guy traits and they responded with "Yeah, man. So true." But did they show up dressed better the next day? Did they hit the gym? Did they educate themselves on something relevant? No. Their BP mentality is forcing him to believe that if he just keeps nice until death and beyond a NAWALT is going to magically fall from the sky and treat him like a human being.

All you can do is swallow the pill, accept the fact that you're part of a tiny minority of unplugged dudes and game the system in your advantage. Don't let women know you're seeing right through their ulterior, manipulative motives. Just turn the game around.

[–]Senior ContributorRedPope0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Excellent post. Very well said.

You can build a big neon sign pointing to the right path, but the vast majority will still ignore it, and continue shuffling along towards failure. They're not just allergic to reality, they are comfortable with mediocrity. Success is scary, it's way too different.

[–]pl231 8 points8 points8 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Awesome, just helps us more. Keep your mouths shut guys.

[–]Endorsed ContributorBluepillProfessor4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

Do you really think it is a long-term sustainable strategy to troll for confused pussy in the rubble of a once great civilization? Preach this shit from mountain tops.

[–]pl2311 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

that's not the only way someone can be RP. I'm about a complete 180 from what you said. Not sure if you're trolling, but if you talk about "once great civilization" and you compare that to how RP or BP the world is, I think you'd have your answer.... as the world gets more BP, things suck more....

[+]Luke666808g-7 points-6 points-5 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You're actually betraying your gender just to fuck more used up whores?

[–]let_terror_reign15 points16 points17 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

How is it betrayal? Why do I owe them anything?

[–]1aguy016 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You act as though bringing this mainstream would do anything except ruin it.

[–]H42 9 points9 points9 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

As a service to those in need, the 16 & 17 yo males you know should be told of this sub. Especially if your age is not near that group.

It is a required education that is not taught by society.

Everyone eventually benefits by that age group living with TRP theory.

[–]bakbakgoesherthroat2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The bigger a community grows, the more mainstream its philosophies become. I actually prefer TRP to remain small.

[–]Luke666808g1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

So what if the sub remains small? Memetics works because beneficial memes are copied more rapidly than non-beneficial memes, and how can there be a meme more beneficial than TRP? I doesn't matter if people are on this sub so long as the ideas continue to propagate through society, and this should accelerate rapidly once the great decline is in full swing.

[–]ChrismanDC0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think the TRP attitude/lifestyle is very individualist, and since you don't own other people anything and don't wanna raise your own rivals, I guess you only tell people you care about about TRP, aka your bros.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

you'll be infiltrated by SJW mods long before then

[–]Tom_The_Human1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I know it's selfish, but I don't want the game part of TRP to grow; I encourage others in fighting feminism but I just don't want to share the women. I know this is very selfish, but a little piece inside of me hopes that the quality of the main sub becomes diluted, so I look like more of an alpha.

[–][deleted] 4 points4 points4 points 11 years ago | Copy Link

[permanently deleted]

[–]Apollo19820 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So at what point does this take off if nobody talks about it? I've told one of my friends who is already pretty alpha, but has his lapses into betahood on occasion. He's skeptical, but when I show him pictures of the HB7s and HB8s I've nailed, he's starting to come here now.

[–]altra_hex0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

To me this place is kind of like my personal internet version of Fight Club. The first rule was "You don't talk about Fight Club!".

Generally speaking, the red pill is not something I would talk openly about. Obviously, I would never utter a word of it to a girl. The only case I can see mentioning it to someone is to help out a good male friend that I see is constantly shooting himself in the foot via beta behavior. Even then, it would have to be someone I 100% trust wouldn't be a faggot about it and go blabbing.

[–]dubknight0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Bigger is not always better, despite what this sub might think. Reddit itself was much more intelligent when it was in it's beginnings. When it hit its zeitgeist a few years back a whole slough of trendies and children flooded in.

[–]squishles0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Most of the outside advertisement is actually from thebluepill hating on this sub, the subscriber base for this sub doesn't really evangelize, most of you guys are on alt throwaways. Hence If thebluepill hate stays constant, the outside word stays constant.

[–]pachan 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

i think i joined this sub when it had like 2000 subscribers and the quality of posts was way higher than it is now. the majority of posts where from some realy intelligent people and it was always analytical and it was filled with good advice on how to act.

so i dont see why you would want the sub to grow.
