Not too long ago a friend of mine turned me on to TRP. And throughout my journey I read stuff on here and also hung out with my friend. I noticed how inquisitive he is even though most of the time he comes off like "a douche" is the term I've heard. Yet I admire him for this trait and have adopted it into my own life. Here are a few reasons why it is good to ask questions:

*You get to absorb new information and that information can help you decide what moves to make

Example: In many social settings I like to ask people how they are feeling. It sounds simple and superficial but what I do with that info is key. People will actually respond usually truthfully and if it's some of your friends or a girl based on their reaction, you can decide how to react whether it be making them feel better, getting them nourishment of some kind and in general finding ways to support the ability to have fun when you are out!

*You look like you are interested in others.

Explanation: You can really alter someone's mood by seeming interested in them. People love to talk about themselves and totally will if you just sit and listen. And the cool thing is once again this comes back to the first point. You can then decide what moves to make.

*Knowledge can be used as a weapon

Explanation: Perhaps you get to know someone and they confide certain things in you. Now you don't directly use what they say against them but what ultimately happens is there is a "you don't screw me, I don't screw you" type behavior. It's a great way to build trust. Let people tell you their secrets. Tell them some back. If you are trying to build relationships at work (even with high level people) this can help that.

I hope there are points I missed and some of you others out there who use this can elaborate. Please do!

tl;dr Ask questions about people and use the information you get back accordingly.
