An unconventional guide to finding plates, learning social skills (for newbs) and practicing game/RP on easy mode.

Summary: Four places that you can practice talking to people, meeting people, or making friends and allies are gay bar, lesbian bar, BDSM/fetish clubs, and co-ed sports leagues. Includes the whys, hows, and rationale for choosing such places.

Over the years I've found some interesting places to meet people. At the time I wasn't the most outgoing person and my SMV wasn't as high as it is right now (even though I'm older--44). These places are locations that I've personally picked up women, made friends, or found it easy to talk to people without all the dread and anxiety that comes from inexperience and lack of confidence.

I. Gay Bars. I know it sounds crazy but bear with me. Gay bars are great places to meet women, make friends, and learn how to talk to people. If you don't mind being around gay guys then going to a gay bar can be a huge boon to learning your social skills.

1. You can talk to guys without getting nervous because you aren't trying to get laid. And because you aren't trying to get laid you will learn how to practice cold intros and rapport and not sound like you are trying to get laid.

2. Straight guys are some of the most desirable to gay men. They'll hit on you and some will do it well and others will crash and burn. Well all of them will probably crash and burn, but you will have the opportunity to experience first hand how awkward it might be for a woman to be confronted with a man who is trying too hard, doesn't know what he's doing, or is just plain creepy. If you are comfortable talking to a guy who is hitting on you then pay attention to what he's doing. He's teaching you something you can use later. If, however, you want to get away because you aren't sure if this guy is going to stab you then remember what he's doing and don't ever do it.

3. Straight women go to gay bars to get away from straight men and dance and have fun with their girlfriends. And there you are the only straight guy in the bar with NO FUCKING COMPETITION. Straight women love the idea of "converting" a gay guy so if Chad Thundercock walks up and says, "Hiiiii" and makes conversation in all the right ways she's not going to have her guard up. She expects all the men to be gay, so her defenses are not on full alert. Play the mysterious angle and don't confirm whether you are gay or not. Just be interested in talking to her and how much you love her shoes (or whatever you do). You become a challenge to her and hot chicks think they can bang anyone--including gay guys. Which, as far as she knows, you are.

4. If you can make a gay friend who is really outgoing and turn him into a wing man you will have one of the ultimate pickup weapons. I call them the "Gay Proxy". My friend has such a gay proxy (called D) and when clubbing with him and D, we just sit at the bar and talk and drink and listen to music. D will run around the bar being fabulous and a few minutes later he will actually bring my friend some of the best looking women in the bar (for his approval of course). Mouth watering women. I shit you not. He's already done the work for him. He's made the cold approach, ascertained their mood and readiness and SMV, then kindly vetted my friend and offered to introduce her to an amazing (older) guy who is sitting at the bar. This is a college town BTW and these are college girls and here is my buddy who is 6' 260 pounds, glasses, freckles and in his 40's (almost got his PhD) and he's got a cell phone full of numbers and texts from chicks he's banging (some of them his students--yeah that's reckless, but. . .). All of them are in their early twenties. One such text was from an "ultra religious" German girl (who is also half African American) who plays for the school women's soccer team (on scholarship) and fucks him and wants to bring him to Jesus (smh). But don't matter, got laid. BTW, my friend doesn't even know what RP is or what a plate is or what plate spinning is. Thanks to his gay proxy he's doing all that on auto-pilot.

If you can get your own gay proxy and let him wing man for you then you can just take it easy every once in a while and sit back and see what happens. I was truly amazed.

II. Lesbian bars--I know I must be crazy right? Lesbian bars are also great for some of the same reasons.

1. You know you aren't going to fuck a lesbian so you can practice talking to women and getting them to like you without worrying about trying to get laid later on. This is practice. Sure there are some radical nasty man-haters, but they are easy to spot. Sidle up to the pool table and play a few rounds. Here is where you practice learning how to talk to women without the same fear and awe you get from women you are trying to pick up.

2. Not all lesbians are lesbians btw. Some women are just angry at dudes and have switched teams for the nonce. Nonetheless, they still like dick and if Chad Thundercock is well liked by her lesbian sisters then surely he must be "different" from all the other assholes? Play it straight and let her know you are just "Mr. Right Now" and you won't burn any bridges.

3. Lesbian Proxy? Will a lesbian friend send some strange your way? Maybe if you send something her way she'll do the same for you. I can't say for sure because this part is theory.

4. I have actually picked up a girl in a lesbian bar (before TRP) and made out with her behind the bar and later plated her. They go there to get away from men. There's no competition here. So, if you get along with lesbian women then you must be okay? Right? Those defenses will be down. I guarantee it.

III. BDSM or Fetish Clubs--These clubs are notoriously outgoing and friendly to strangers who share an interest in the lifestyle. Even if you have only a passing interest they are happy to answer questions. Including very personal questions about their sexual history, preferences, and fetishes. Seriously, there's almost no filter here. You can't fuck it up unless you are judgmental.

1. Every club is different and you'll have to learn the rules, but so far I've found that any clubs that welcome newcomers is going to be open and easy to get along with. If you find it hard to make conversation or do cold intros then you will have a much easier time here.

2. I've been going to BDSM meetings for about 4 years when my work schedule permits. When I've gone without a partner 3 out of 4 times I've met someone there and picked her up. If there is a woman there who is single and looking and you like then your chances are excellent. Since everything is very open and laid back you can talk to her about anything. "So, what are you into?" Her: "Well, I like to be tied up and whipped with a belt and then fucked in the ass and called a slut and whore." You: "That sounds like fun. We should get together sometime." Her: "I'm free tomorrow night?" Seriously, it is ridiculously easy.

3. There are drawbacks that I've experienced. Most of the people I've seen at these events are hedonists. That means they are all about satisfying their pleasures and therefore not very disciplined. Many are fat and not very attractive, but not all.

Even when I was an overweight beta I could still pick up women easily. My first meeting I picked up two women and took them to the dungeon that night and spanked their asses with my belt until they were black and blue (a threesome spank session). One of them was a feminist with a Phd (of course) and the other was a divorcee who ended up being my plate. She was a submissive that was into 50's Lifestyle, Panties, Cock Worship, and being spanked. As a tool for being social, picking up women (on easy mode) these kinds of conventions are amazing practice and fun and you might learn something about being a dominant in the bedroom too.

IV: Co-ed sports. Look for Co-ed events or sports leagues. Cross fit, boot camp, Yoga, or my favorite, Indoor soccer. All will give you a chance to meet pretty athletic women in a relaxed setting to practice on. You've already got something in common which means you've got something to talk about if you are still awkward. Plus, it's sports and we all like to be in shape so you won't be wasting time if you don't meet someone.

This is NOT easy mode. These are often high SMV women and there are lots of higher SMV men around. But many of those guys are married with kids and not competing right now.

Also, remember the after party at the bar where you and your teammates will meet and yell and have fun. That's another opportunity to meet even more women while having the back up of a group to hang out with if you start to get nervous or need a moment to regroup.

Lessons learned: Any group or activity where people come together to discuss common ideas or pastimes can be a great way to meet women in a relaxed atmosphere. From Kayaking clubs, to wall climbing events, or maybe even dance classes, or sewing classes can be great places to meet women. Yes, sewing classes! Tons of young women wanting to learn how to sew and in walks Chad Thundercock and suddenly competition thrusters go into overdrive. I've even met women while getting a manicure. That place is full of women and they all stare at you the whole time!
