I get lots of attention from girls I don't know at my school. And its attractive girls exclusively. Wide-eyed smiles, compliments, obvious flirting. Its always the girl who makes the first effort to get me talking to them. But the second I return their advances in the slightest, I feel a change come about them. Really not so much of a change as a revealing of their cards. I feel this distinct sense of smug satisfaction emanating off them and its as if they're thinking “haha YUP! He wants me. :)”

I'm a loner, introverted bookish type and always have been. Virtually invisible to the opposite sex for most of my life. But senior year of highschool I walked into homeroom and the girl who had been appointed to take attendance exclaimed “WOW he got cute!!” and this infuriating brand of female attention has followed me ever since. Now I'm in college and it still persists to some degree.

It does seem exclusive to school and other formal settings. The few times I've gone to clubs I've had girls approach me with clearly more genuine interest, but these ones are never quite as attractive as the type of girl who runs this game on me in my day life.

My theory is that since I don't have the known SMV to make me fully desirable, these super-confident 8+ girls just look at me as a caviar-class serving of validation. Another little trophy for their massive ego. I'm wondering if any of you guys have had similar experiences or if I'm just way off-base on this whole thing.
