We talk about post-wall women all the time but we rarely talk about this kind of a character. Back in high school he was a Chad and maybe his streak continued on to college too. The parties, girls, and friends all came to him naturally. Yes, this man was one of the "cool kids" and even if you ask him years after the fact, he is going to have so many stories to tell about how he was the man back in school.

Now somewhere along the road, he made a critical mistake. Maybe he wasn't good enough to play football in college and he had nothing else of value to lean on, so he got complacent. Perhaps he married his high school sweetheart at 18 and they both got fat at 25, now come the baby photos on Facebook. Perhaps he followed the normal path after college and married the sorority sister he fell in love with. Now, even before he is 25, he has hit his peak and became complacent in life.

The tables are turning, other men who were below him on the social hierarchy are rising, and he feels the inevitable happening. Being the competitive person he is, he can't possibly allow that to happen. As he stagnates and others who he used to look down on rise, he becomes angry and frustrated. The former alpha sees the former nerd make something of himself and date hot girls while the hottie this former alpha married gets fatter and uglier by the year.

What would he ever do?

He will tell you how he is so mature now because he has kids and a family, he isn't like those other "clowns" who are living it up in their 20s and 30s.

Yes, the whole party lifestyle (involuntarily) ended for him in high school but no biggie, he is so "over it". Now he is all about being a "real man" and raising his kids or loving his family (ya sure!). The former alpha talks about how you should follow in his foot steps too because after all, aren't you too old to be having random flings with women at 25 and 30?

Maybe you should "be a man" and "grow up" rather than sleeping around like some horny teenager. Perhaps you should get married, have kids, and start a family. Oh you slept with a supermodel and partied at the Playboy Mansion? Dude, that is so immature, aren't you too to be doing that? You should be like me, be a "real man" and start a family like I did.

He will indirectly tell you how your experiences are nothing compared to his.

Sleeping with a supermodel or a hot girl you met at a bar is nothing compared to losing your virginity at 16 to some cunt in high school. I mean, the whole psychology and all that stuff, it just doesn't feel the same man. So what if you pull hot 20 year old as a 30 year old man, it is not the same as pulling them when you're both 20 yourself (he might actually be right on that but beats getting married!). Who cares if you party in Ibiza, it is nothing compared to partying in high school when the parents are away!

He will tell you how behind you are compared to others and what they are doing.

People are getting married at 25, what are you doing sleeping around? People are settling down and having kids, what are you doing traveling and partying? Wait for it, wait for it, now comes the "grown up" speech. Oh how you are so immature and such a "man-child" for not being married with kids, a mortgage, and such a "loving wife".

Beware of the former alpha, he can't stand it, and he might even try to bring you down when given the chance.

How dare someone take his spot? How dare you get hot girls and enjoy nice parties while he is married with kids? How dare the tables turn? Don't expect high fives from this man, expect low blows. If you get caught up in a situation, he will do everything to turn public opinion on you. If your name comes up in a conversation, he will be sure to remind everyone how he used to be so much better than you and all of the embarrassing things about your past. Deep down inside, he can't stand it, every night he goes to bed miserable and loathes the fact that the same guy he used to be above on the social hierarchy gets better every year while his value diminishes.
