At the same time, my personal view is that articles like this one are part of the pendulum starting to at least slow down with the feminist narrative bullshit. And, as usual, when it swings back it will again swing too far.

The only thing that is still preventing the full swing back is the female realisation of WHY those 10 things are no more. When they figure it out that encouraging young girls to "explore their sexuality" basically means going out there and fucking Chad for "free", in terms of commitment, and making sex cheap as chips, it will all come crushing down. Cheap sex with no consequence is great for a hot 20yr old, but for the majority of (average) women this means they have to compete for male attention with the former. And the only way they can do this is by fucking us a lot sooner than they would do otherwise. And men might be slow, but men are really starting to get this, and taking advantage of it.

Once women fully comprehend that "you go have fun girl" does nothing more than hurting themselves, that's when you'll see some proper slut shaming like we've never experienced. And men will just sit in the front, enjoying the show.

It's more about the quality of women to me , the more women I date and fuck the more I am learning they really aren't worth much at all . I love sex and yet despite how much I love sex There is a VERY small pool of women I can tolerate for more than a sexual encounter. They’re called “Meet Ups” now. WTH? I understand that since the emergence of online dating, that meeting a new person in a public place is necessary under those circumstances. No problem there. But what has happened is it has taken the place of real dating. In those instances where two people know each other the guys are requesting to “meet” the woman at a location to “hang out” as opposed to actually picking her up to take her out.

The main reason that all of these things don’t happen anymore is because women, at large, stopped requiring them.

My take is men will adapt to what works for them. If asking women out on formal dates and bringing flowers worked for them, they'd do it.

When I was doing work in Eastern Europe, far more common to meet women, ask them on a formal date, bring flowers, meet the parents, show good manners, etc, etc. I enjoy formal courtship, I honestly do. But I have to ask myself if it's going to functionally work here in America ( it generally does not )

My perspective is basic "intention"

In previous times, if you asked a girl out, she only said Yes if she HAD INTEREST and was genuinely WILLING TO GIVE YOU A CHANCE. There was no discussion of him talking to another girl, there was no discussion of her talking to another guy. They gave each other a chance to get to know each other, with the rest of the culture enforcing good behavior.

Now a girl can say Yes to a date and not have any interest at all. She just might want a free meal and someone to tell her shes pretty. I also think a lot of guys simply use this as a blanket excuse to be douchebag. No one makes you do anything. No one is holding a gun to your head. I'm saddened by the basic approach that two wrongs make a right, i.e. because she's a horrible vicious whore, that you have to lower yourself to be a cutthroat jerk in response. No one should ever be used as an excuse for any man to behave beneath himself and his standards of excellence.

My take is you can be a "gentleman" without being a doormat. You can do it without breaking frame. You can do it without hurting others. You can do it for how you want to live, to your standards, and not worry about how others act. I choose to try to be a kind person because I simply want to be a kind person. If I act like a douche and say it's because 99.99999 percent of women are worthless douchebags, then how am I any better than them?

I'd wager most women who complain are really talking about someone spending money to impress her. I think you can have fun going to the beach and building a sandcastle and bringing a picnic lunch ( doesn't have to be expensive to be genuine and fun) Personally I think the best thing a guy can do is just tell the girl that he'd like to spend time with her and get to know her, and he doesn't care how it's labeled. Call it a date, call it getting coffee, time is precious and the exchange of time is a gift to be treasured by anyone.

I would agree, most guys don't preset plans, but then again, it's a two way street, show genuine interest and I think a guy will do so in kind. Nothing would refresh me more than hearing "I like you, I want to get to know you and see where this goes, I don't want to see anyone else, I want to give this the best chance possible and only want to see you right now" I think it would be refreshing to hear it, and I think it would be refreshing to say it and have both people actually mean it.

If he doesn't say No, don't take the free meal and swag bag on the way out of the door. Being impressed is why people should take interest, not some power dynamic proving ground to hold you into her frame.

Whatever your methodology with women ( i.e. looking for a LTR, a marriage, sex, whatever) I think your voice and how you talk and communicate can cover a lot of ground with a woman. I will say, it's probably not as easy for pretty girls as people think. Good God, I agree with this. I consider myself a pretty effective conversationalist and a lot of people not just women, but men too, it's like watching paint dry. Although the burden again falls on men to carry the weight of this ( lead the conversation, set tone and pace, etc)

Although I think a good conversationalist, like a good kisser, can lead a strong rapport and set the framework for a good consistent interaction. You just have to be more skilled in this area than she is ( and not being good on the phone won't help to be honest)

True story from some years ago, unfortunately. I did a traditional date with a supposedly nice girl I had met in classes. I did flowers at the door, dinner and a movie. I was polite, gracious and even pretty funny, I thought. We went back to her place, and I got a peck on the cheek and then she commando rolled into the door and shut it behind her. Okay, fine, she was not that into me. The next week I run into a guy I knew from class and we compared weekends. I skipped mentioning my date.
