I bought a Blendtec blender after watching those YouTube videos where they blend iPhones and concrete with it. I keep putting crazy shit in there to see where the breaking point is.

The more I shit test my blender, the more impressed I become with it. And the harder I shit test it. Someday I'll break it, get another one, and stop caring about it.

It's hard to not break. But if you manage it, she'll be in awe of you.

It never goes away. Are you sure you're actually passing them though? From my experience they tend to happen less often as time goes on, as it becomes more solidified in her mind that she hasn't made a mistake in her choice. They never fully go away though, she will always need the occasional reminder that you haven't gone soft. If you started your relationship before TRP the shit tests may by increasing because you're changing and it's not the "real" you and she's trying to beat you back into submission. Look into dread game, it's a game changer for LTR's.

Yes they do go away but it requires that you CAPTAIN YOUR SHIP.
The CAPTAIN never gets shit tested because the crew is too busy following the captain's leadership and meeting the captain's expectations.
Now I'm not saying that at some point the sociopath won't just snap and set fire to the whole damn boat, but that is the gamble you take with LTRs.

Some bad advice here. Shit testing should never stop. It will happen less frequentlt, but if it stops that's a red flag. You just have to be strong enough to deal with it forever.

If it's testing for occasional reassurance, that's expected.

But if it's not lessening, it sounds like she's doing it just out of habit, or for entertainment.

As always, simply ask yourself if it's worth it, and keep your options open.

And I agree with the other comments about dread game: make sure SHE knows you have other options.

If it does stop, that means she's become indifferent to you and is starting to not care. You need to get a different perspective on shit tests - I prefer the term "fitness test." They are constantly testing your fitness to make sure you are a suitable or "right" choice.

Learn how to have fun with shit tests through AA, AM, fogging, STFU... Etc
