I had tons of female friends in high school. I didn't fit into any easy stereotype. I was popular but reserved. I was dating a cheerleader. I was also president of the school's chapter of the FCA and a dedicated Christian. People assumed that I wasn't but I was a virgin.

Several of my friend's and classmates discovered their girlfriends or fuck buddies had "surprise pregnancies". Hell, it seems like half the girls in my graduating HS class must have been pregnant when they walked across the stage.

Then I got in the Army. I wound up fucking some chick that came out of basic training two weeks after me and was horny as hell from not being able to get laid for two and a half months. Then I moved on to another that didn't want condoms. My Drill Sergeant overheard me talking about it and called me into his office and told me, "Private Smoke, there are women out there, in the service and just off post who have only one real goal in life, and that is to get knocked up by a soldier because then they have a guaranteed paycheck. Don't be that fucking stupid private."

I took the lesson to heart. Two months later, she was knocked up be somebody else. I saw the pattern play out again and again by myself. I tend to be rather cynical when it comes to women in the military or living near a base.

Well, its not so bad. And 23, you're quite young. Since you're virgin, you can't swallow TRP completely just yet. Pursue hobbies, be attractive, get some game. Unless you've been with few women, you can't know them. It's like looking up a city in Russia or Europe on internet and visiting it in person. I was depressed for years in my bp days. I had an ltr girlfriend who I thought I was gonna.marry. we broke up and I was bitter for a long time. I was also kind of a loser in highschool and thereafter as well.. never had much going for me other than a minimum wage job and a loser group of "friends" who were all wannabe thugs.

Fast forward a few years.. I distanced myself. I am now at a prestigious top tier school and doing pretty well for myself. Working harder than ivr ever worked and am in great physical shape.

Most of my old "friends" are now drug addicts, in and out of jail, and generally just have no future/becoming fat losers. A few of them have kids and just this small town loser mindset where they loathe successful people and think of them as grreedy.

Fuck em. Crabs in a bucket.

It's all about perspective. You dwell on the past, but in a positive manner. Usually we preach that if you dwell on the past, you will be depressed, and if you think too much about the future, you will become anxious, hence, being grounded in the present and being in the moment is the best state of mind to be in.

We all have our reasons for being on this sub, most of which has to do with our past. We can think about our past and consider those things to be bad, all the missed opportunities with women, all the social faux-pas we made, etc. Or, we could use those experiences to build upon a better us and not make the same mistakes again. How you approach it is up to you, and you seem to be approaching it the right way.

On a different note, I wouldn't recommend getting a vasectomy at 23. 23 is too young to be making a such a big life decision.

At 23 I was very against having children, I'm only 26 now and have already come round to the idea a bit more. I think when you're younger you only see children coming round as a mistake, when you're older and friends start to have them by choice then you see them differently.

I'd at least wait until you're 30 before making that decision, I'm sure you can handle condoms for another handful of years.

I think that there is some sort of a trend in life. The guys who missed out on high school had the the hunger and courage to chase after "the life" in college, those that missed it in college chased after it in the real world. Some guys never got it, ever, and they gave up. Very few guys ALWAYS had it.

The one strong benefit I have seen from being a late bloomer is that guys tend to be hungry and have that thirst for success, parties, and girls. I sometimes feel like Hollywood and the music industry are loaded with late bloomers who found their path and ended up doing things like getting with hot girls that would put the hottest high school girls to shame, parties that made the best high school party look plain boring, and the list goes on.

Once you're getting it and once you're having those experiences, you tend not to think as much about the past. Btw, virgin at 23 is a huge issue man, better get that fixed by 25!

It's impossible to say whether or not having sex in high school would have made your life better or worse.

Maybe you knock up a girl or maybe having sex frees you up to think about other things than losing the v, greatly expanding your interests.

Regardless, it sounds like you had a feeling of regret for a few years after highschool. So at the very least you can say those years of your life would have been different. You might even have felt the way you feel now, years ago.

First time I fucked I was 19, got unlucky heaps of times but I also sucked despite being popular at school. Some guys I knew in high school also sucked but ended up with a girlfriend regardless. Others I knew weren't popular at all but ended up fucking chicks anyhow.

This one guy I knew got laid way more than he should. He was lucky at the time, he matured quickly- this attracted the girls. I matured very slowly, I never expected to fuck allot of girls in my life.

Ironically this guy that matured so fast ended up real fucking short. He had allot of expectations about himself, he thought he'd become a womanizer. Almost every girl is taller than him nowadays. He became bitter and a low energy beta. Gets zero girls.

On the other hand, I kept on growing. Girls started noticing me quickly, I was already socially apt. Because I never formed any expectations about fucking women things started rolling naturally- no pressure. Nowadays I've got more lays and fucked hotter girls than most of these high school mates.

The point I'm trying to make is that the past is the past. Some we're great back in the day and suck now. Some are great now and sucked back in the day. Find the positive and you will roll.

If you work for it you understand and appreciate it, but I'm the tradoff is that it takes time to get it. Most people who don't have it naturally spend too much time trying to make up for wasted time. That essentially is the same as not moving on. It keeps you stagnant.

I found out that there are basically two types of guys who start sexual life later in life: 1) Those who were interested in something plus socially awkward 2) Fucking nerdy loosers.

Type 1 will grow with skills and background. Late 'adulthood' will save him from being sucked into marriage or the dating carousel. Type 2 will grow to be an Omega male.

It just plain statistics nowadays early boomer fail too early - they don't have intelligence and experience for not getting into traps. So-called 'high-school loosers' (I'd suggest its self-perceiving) can: 1. learn from their early-leading comrades. 2. learn a lot from other sources. life is a minefield now so experience matters.
