Summary:
Centuries-old diagnosis of mental health that is modernly considered medically irrelevant actually is relevant, and I attached a video example

This shouldn't be a long post, and I will try to get straight to the point without lecturing. It is just another way feminism is impeding science.

Surely a lot of you have heard of "Female Hysteria"? For those of you who didn't, it was (as its name implies) a female-only condition. It has been discarded for simply being an "extension of misogyny".

For centuries, it was a legitimate mental illness that had to be treated. The symptoms included:

  • Nervousness
  • Muscle spasm
  • Shortness of breath
  • High irritability
  • Loss of appetite for sex
  • "Tendency to cause trouble"
  • Dehydration

Some cases even required these women to be forcibly admitted to an insane asylum. This "Female Hysteria" used to be attributed to sexual frustration. The doctors then literally told the women to get laid to help fix their unstable mindset. Down the line, the vibrator was invented for these cases before being streamlined (which is unrelated).

"Haha, how retarded were we then. Sexism truly was rampant, it isn't remotely realistic that women could have a mental illness that almost exclusively affects them."

Well now we have seen a lot of these cases, especially in this day and age, where women are given a free pass on so many things.

Here is just another case of "Female Hysteria", and it is now know as being "triggered": https://youtube.com/watch?v=s9ImSupXt3g

See how the SJW crowd jumps in to support her after that tremendous ordeal she just went through. You can see the sane people smirking at how crazy she is, but alas, female hysteria has consumed all that of whatever sense she still had.

Here is her Facebook post about it: https://i.sli.mg/JJlhpu.jpg
Look at all of those sad people commenting like she's returned from WW2 and how brave she was to throw a tantrum at a peaceful man for making a joke. Some even compliment her for being of "present mind". Are they all having a mass delusion?

PS: I'm not saying the entire theory on female hysteria was correct, I am just saying that it shouldn't have been completely ignored.
