Is first base making out? You shouldn't do that 'till logistics are right to get her home and you're going to get the lay OR it was a very good date from both ends. She probably needs to see you as boyfriend material, or she will wonder why you didn't just fuck her. If she's not invested enough, the logic goes that she'll have gotten the bulk of the validation she needs early enough that she doesn't need a second date; what might be described as "the mystery is gone."

1) You think it was a good date, but have no viable proof (eg her cum stains on your sheets). Don't set up the next date on the first date. Women will say yes even when they mean no (and in fact they decide yes or no likely within the first hour of a date - source: lots and lots of plates who openly make fun of other men trying to date them). Remember a woman will next you 15 minutes into a date if you don't come in with the right frame - EVEN if you think you had a good date it doesn't fucking matter. If they had a good date you should be able to tell by (Kino, making out, coming back to your place and fucking your brains out).

I keep seeing posts where a guy will go in for a kiss and get a side turned cheek or a fucking hug. You failed. They aren't interested. Don't waste your time by contacting this person again. At the very least use them to practice text game. Analyze your date. Figure out where you fucked up your frame and fix it.

2) It was a good date. Let's say you got some making out and generally had fun, but she wasn't hot to trot. Hold off on making plans. Make them wonder if you had a good time. Then a few days into the next week use the "I'm doing x at y on z. Come have fun." It can be a group and you can break off (increase your SMV by demonstrating your dominant status in a group) or one on one - A game of pool (eg come let me beat your ass at a game of pool). I would avoid dinner and a movie until you are well into dating (read: fucking). This can be a first date killer, but so many guys do it - you are demonstrating beta bucks right away (also going dutch is a sure sign they don't like you - don't ask for a second date or a kiss if you get the dutch: go ice cold and extract).

If they take too long to respond make plans with someone else. If they don't respond and you want to spin their heads say "sorry someone else is already meeting me" EVEN if its not true. Then try to make plans one more time the next week. Silence or lack of enthusiasm - drop it and move on. You failed on the first date.

3) Women flake because A) you are a creep/it was a bad date, B) you lose frame in text game, and C) THEY HAVE OPTIONS (most have a guy they fuck already (read alpha fucks), but are looking for someone more dependable (read: beta bucks). D) other reasons see the other posts

Note: a lot of guys delude their selves into believing (grandma had to have surgery). Yes grandma does have surgery every once in awhile (in that case 2 should still work). Seriously if you hear any of that shit stop talking to this person and move on. If she's interested you will hear from her again after grandma gets out of the hospital.

Final word. Don't ask anyone on a date. Tell them to meet you. This works so fucking well it's not even funny. It shows your dominance and sets up your frame.

Flaking on the first date is a normal occurrence. A high percentage of flaking on the second date indicates the date probably didn't go as well as you thought. From what I've found from my friends and folk that I have helped is that in general, a guy thinks a date was great if it wasn't complete shit and women think a date was shit if it was anything less than great.

A flake is a flake. You don't prevent a flake you put them on your flake list and you don't do favors for anyone on your flake list. And you make sure it's takes extra work to remove their name from your flake list if someone really wants a second chance.

With that said, if you want a flake to be reliable then you have to dangle something in front of them that they want. (If they still flake then they didn't actually want it that badly and you need something else) This is what you call people using each other so don't forget they are using you too, so be careful with your trust when it's like this.

They are flaking for a reason and you need to focus on what that reason is:

Are you too needy after the first date?
Is your texting too needy?
Are you giving off a beta vibe?
Is it buyers remorse?

etc.

Figure out the reason and focus on solving it.

Run better game. Really I don't think you're ever going to be able to prevent it, rather be able to mitigate damage and predict it. I never set up day a two (or day one if you meet online) on a Friday or Saturday, week days only until she proves herself. I usually text every girl I'm about to meet that I'll be running a little late, that way if she was going to stand me up, she'll have the option to flake out, and if she really has no soul she wont reply and I'll know for sure to not show up.

Whenever I meet up, I make it my goal to get a kiss (at least attempt) before the date is over. Maybe try that. Otherwise, the best thing you can do is be emotionally detached.

Smile more and get her having fun

I used to have trouble with girls flaking after what I though was a successful first date, but really I had probably been fairly similar to the last guy she went on a date with and these days that doesn't really cut it.

If you can get a girl smiling and having fun she will remember that feeling and want to see you again
