tl;dr girl I've known since BP days is still giving me second chances to do her, even though I've consistently missed opportunities to make love to her. This ended last week. The result is that she has no more boyfriend and wants me to be her unicorn.

I'm a bloke, and, as a bloke, I routinely cock up in others' eyes when it comes to romance/emotions/love/sex/whatever. The good/great thing is that the girl in question seems to be willing to give me an endless amount of second chances.

Thursdays are becoming our date nights. She dutifully shows up, at my door, wearing something nice, at half 7, rain or shine. This past Thursday, I let her in and we went to the bedroom. She excitedly jumped into bed and hit the remote to turn on the television.

Meanwhile, I'm making her drink of choice in the kitchen and pouring myself a glass of my favourite wine. I didn't know she'd proceeded to make herself comfortable in bed, get the tele on, etc.

I come to the bedroom, drinks in hand, put the drinks on the nightstand and slide into bed next to her. She doesn't flinch as I kiss her lips -- again, over the years, I've made this a feature of our friendship -- and tell her she looks riveting tonight.

A toast is proposed, our glasses click. "Tell me about your day?" she asks.

"Oh, my day was fine, how was yours, dear?", I respond.

"Good, hoping I'll enjoy what you have set up tonight and the day will end on a high note, what do you have set up for tonight?", she inquires.

I took this as my queue to start kissing her, so I did, first the hand, then the lips. I'm especially drawn to the ears as a place to kiss for some reason, so I start sucking her earlobes.

"No, this is not respectful to my relationship", she says, giving me (what I suspect is) last minute resistance.

"Fine, then lets stop", I announce, pulling away from her and getting out of bed into the easy chair, sipping my wine, while she's nursing her cocktail.

We watch the movie I selected for tonight and I take her home.

I have a pact with her to wish her a good morning every day on waking up, which I stick to; just because making others feel good makes me feel good and is a good start to my day. Normally, I get a "thanks, u 2" from her, but I didn't on Friday or Saturday morning.

I'm at lunch at Saturday with a uncle and aunt and she rings me. I look at my phone and see her name. I text her that I can't talk now as I'm busy, I'll get back to her later and put my phone on silent.

By the time I got done with lunch, I take out my phone to find out what to do next and I have 35 messages in a 15-minute (or so) period from her, "Ok", "Hey, we need to talk NOW or I'll not talk to you ever again", "Call me", etc. So, I text her back, telling her that I don't take calls or texts while with others.

"I wish I were that polite, but you have disrespect me in other ways",

"Care to elaborate?"

"You have no respect for my relationship"

"I have precisely the same respect for it as you seem to"

"Huh?"

"There are two things here: first, you're in a relationship, yet are still coming over, plonking yourself in my bed, consuming drinks I made for you, watching my movies, and it makes me want to make out with you. So, do media night with the boyfriend and show me your relationship is worthy of respect, Ok?"

"He won't do movie night with me" hamstering

"Fine then, don't whinge to me when I take it to its logical conclusion", I tell her.

"See you next Thursday"

"Ok"

Pretty much, this was the conversation earlier. I didn't go all the way with her last week as I didn't have condoms. Will buy them today for Thursday, so will have no reason not to go all the way and post a followup.
