Debt has also come to define this generation. Many people in this generation currently face or will face crushing student debt. Most people in this generation also don't have the savings to withstand a disaster.

Generation Y is also the fattest in human history. They (or we) are the first generation not on pace to live longer than the previous generation. This extra health care burden only puts more pressure financially on them.

So What Does All This Mean For You? It's not hard to get ahead in this generation. If you maintain even a decent physique, have a stable financial and living situation, and have good game, you can do really well in this generation. Even with those fairly average tools, you'll be ahead of at least 60% of your competitors. If you put your head down and work on yourself for a year, you can find yourself in the top 10-20%.
