Stop it. Seriously.

There is no value in it for anybody except the ones who recieve the money - Reddit is owned by one of largest private media companies in the US and they should have found more reasonable ways to making profit out of it than begging for money from users. On top you can put your shirt on a horse that they are just waiting for reasons to cut us off.

The benefits that come with gold status are a joke and the validation is nothing you should be looking for. It's the same as karma: just internet points with no real life value.

If you want to honour a good comment and aren't an endorsed submitter or gathered enough deltas to be able to give them to others, than do it by leaving a valuable comment or your personal thoughts on why this comment is outstanding and maybe help others in finding a better understanding of TRP.

If you absolutely need to get rid of those two dollars than either take them for a coffee for your next date with your next plate or even pay pal them to some organisation that's helping men. Let it be an organisation which is focusing on veterans and PTSD or something like that. It will be spend much more useful in either way.
