Absolutes are shared here and some people stick to them like it's their religion. I think of advice given as guidelines, after all, people here are only human and are not capable of boiling life down to pure truths like they claim to.

Those two are just a few of the things I ask myself in my head occasionally while doing stuff. Another thing is to not be treated as a doormat where everyone walks over you.

Don't ask "was that beta?".... Ask had I done something differently would there be a better outcome? Drop the alpha beta bullshit those terms are only used to help compartmentalize a large variety of behaviors into one category of man or the other. Don't think of a single behavior on your part as alpha or beta.

And if you're not lifting already, start lifting. There's no more important aspect of applying TRP than lifting.

No. It's just food for thought. There's really not much you can do to change who you are. I've known men who knew this stuff in real life but they never applied it. And why? Because it's not them. There's nothing I could've done to change that. They locked down BPDs and had kids with them anyway. You have to accept that on your way up, people you care about are gonna drop.

At this stage, you're probably better off focusing on outcome independence.

This is a very important concept to grasp: that the defining aspect of alpha vs beta is your internal state of mind and motivation. The exact same words/action might be alpha for one guy, and beta for another.

Are you chatting up that HB because you enjoy it, and you intend to engage physically in the near future? Or are you hoping for validation by "getting" her to like you? Are you telling that story for self amusement and because you think it's entertaining? Or because you think it will make you look cool and make people like you?

Practical advice for the now: instead of trying to change and only speaking/acting after much deliberation, just go with your instincts, but, BE SELF OBSERVANT. Examine your internal state in real time. Half of the time, mere awareness will result in change. And if it doesn't, well, you can't make conscious change until you know the truth of what you're facing.

I don't know if you are just beginning to go through TRP. I think it is normal to do that stuff when you are swallowing the stuff that is presented here, but if you stay doing that for too long you are not improving yourself.

You can't hide what you are for too long. You either change (through hardwork, reading and self-improvement in general) or you go back to being what you were before you started reading TRP.

Either way, you are what you are. You are what you think and do with your life. One of the secrets for this is that: If you pretend to be something you aren't REALLY well, then you are what you are pretending to be.

Actually, although I've only just started to put TRP into practice (I've done enough TRP reading at this point), I've found myself second guessing myself less because I give a little less of a fuck.

I'm learning to own my words and just talk. I'm tapping into a mindset that I use when I have to talk in front of a group. I've always found myself able to flow in public speaking scenarios by going into it head first and just allowing my words to come out naturally.

I've been slowly incorporating this mindset into conversations with women because I used to be paralyzed by performance anxiety in those situations.

Now, I try to just let go and say what comes to mind. Do I have a great field report to prove that this works? No. I'm not there yet, just working on laying down Beige Phillip's 5 bricks. Game training 101.

I guess it boils down to outcome independence. Once I'm more comfortable just talking to the ladies, I can then think more about strategy. For now, I'm happy just training myself to speak my mind without constantly wondering what people think.

It's a stage in learning how to practice. After a while you internalize it and it gets easier and easier to unconsciously act RP without second-guessing every action you take.

I can empathize with this. It can get taxing sometimes.

But i think when dealing with women, my BP self was always analyzing a set of choices anyway, but with a set of guidelines that weren't really working. Now I (and you) have a more accurate gameplan but it's relatively new and kind of unfamiliar so it's unnatural.

I'd reckon it's akin to learning a new job or skillset. At first it's strenuous mentally, physically, whatever. But with time and practice (successes AND failures) it becomes natural. There is less concious effort and more uninhibited action.

Second guessing? Thanks to TRP I no longer have to second guess. TRP had me look at my past and the world around me in clearer judgement. I finally have the correct tools to gauge what was actually happening during social interactions and more importantly, why. Until I researched a bit of TRP I could see there was something drastically wrong but I just couldn't put my finger on it. Now it's been made clear why girls were going after the guys they were going after, and why beta dudes like me were invisible unless I was lifting.

If there was one piece of advice my older self was allowed to tell my younger self, it'd be this - "Be Selfish!".

Coincidentally I've been handling this issue by testing "trp's predicted female reactions to alpha+beta behaviour" in social situations to determine which aspects of my behaviour are alpha/beta.

So far trp's predictions are pretty accurate (had to see it with my own eyes).

I'm no expert, but if your exhibited behaviour gets your desired reaction then it's alpha. If it doesn't then it's beta.

Politics, social drama, other peoples' lives in general. Stuff I can't control.

Now I focus on my health, my money, and guitar and I find myself to be quite happy.

Yes...I've experienced this.

Best thing to do...don't think about alpha and beta except for bigger picture problems. Its not helpful to microanalyze all of your actions - it just leaves you being worried and nervous.

Instead, just try not to worry too much, have a good time and take steps to work on yourself. When something doesn't turn out how you like it [e.g. the girl at the conference turned you down], think back and see if you made any big mistakes. The time for analysis is after, not in the moment.
