We have trolls here all the time. If you see someone posting irrational/crazy/or biggeted stuff click on the users profile. Trolls that are new users tend to post the most bigoted stuff to discredit the thread. The below examples are of people from thebluepill coming to educate us and posting about it.

m9lc9 "I'm engaging. It's hopeless but maybe I can expose some lost soul on TRP to how fucked up this thinking is."

lokidemon "I engaged too. I couldn't help it. This one literally made my heart ache."

PSA: If you see troll post, please report them to the mods.

[–]Endorsed Contributorpontifx 14 points15 points16 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Came here to say this, just report shitposts. It doesn't matter who it is really, just don't tolerate it.

Everyone has to help the mods keep this place clean, it's the only way meaningful discourse happens.

[–]steadymotion 35 points36 points37 points 12 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

What TRP provides that conspiracy theories don't is immediate proof of concept. You read about something on TRP, go to apply it in the real world, and it works. You see an immediate and direct improvement in your life after learning some new red pill knowledge. Maybe that's why this subreddit is better than Conspiracy.

But it might be only a matter of time before TRP goes to shit.

[–]through_a_ways[S] 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

There's plenty of proof of concept in Conspiracy too, it's just not as hands-on, since us little guys can't get our hands dirty in the games of big business/politics.

I would say that eating a diet contrary to what mainstream science suggests (high grain, low fat) would give you immediate and direct improvement in your life.

[–]ComplainyGuy 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

As somebody who spent 17-20 years on a high grain, low fat (moderate protein) diet... FUCK NO will your life in any way improve. You will be a depressed sloth. Lethargy will be your baseline.

[–]through_a_ways[S] 8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

I wrote that ambiguously. The high grain/low fat diet is what mainstream science suggests, and eating contrary to that (moderate everything, or high fat low grain) would improve one's health.

[–]ComplainyGuy 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

ohh ok. I don't live in America and our science isn't as filtered by corporate influences. I see plenty of "cut the carbs!, Buy moderate fat!" messages on tv and online thankfully.

It wasn't like that ~10 years ago admittedly. grains for breakfast lunch and dinner when I was a teen

[–]through_a_ways[S] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Where do you live, out of curiosity? I ate a very carb heavy diet as a teen as well.

[–]Hatorader 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I eat a low fat, and somewhat high grain diet and I'm okay. At least I think I'm okay. All my tests are awesome and compared to when I used to eat meat I'm just doing better all around. I guess it just depends on your body.

Fat that occurs naturally in animals/eggs/fish/oils/nuts, as opposed to fat added to packaged products and fast food.

[–]no_game_player 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You know, that's an interesting point. There are plenty of known massive dietary differences from culture or otherwise between peoples [sic], so it makes sense that individuals on vastly different diets could each be in a "local maximum" for efficiency.

There probably isn't a magical one-size fits all diet.

That's all rather obvious, but after years of hearing "this is the silver bullet", "no, this is", that finally really clicked for me.

Of course, arsenic is probably still bad...

[–]Hatorader 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There's no way there is a magic diet, humans have evolved from different parts of the world over thousands of years into many different types of people. And there has to be a reason that each of us tends to crave different things. I'm middle eastern and I freaking crave things like olives and feta and things some people would never get cravings for, like hummus. And I was raised in America. Some people tell me they get cravings for bacon and steak and I just don't, ever. I'm attracted to light and powerful things like fruit and Greek salads, and nuts, instead of the brute force power like beef and pork and potatoes lol. That sounds dumb but that's what I picture in my head.

[–][deleted] 56 points57 points58 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Don't be deceived...the femnazis are well aware of this place and are hard at work trying to bring it down.

What you're seeing is is a lot of seddit douches coming in here using red pill to justify their parlor tricks.

[–][deleted] 23 points24 points25 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

I agree, sometimes this place feels like a chest bump between douches bragging about how they banged a chick last in the club toilet.

For me, it's about reclaiming the space that allows me to be a man, and learning how to do it.

[+]itmegeorge -6 points-5 points-4 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Implying banging girls in clubs ha almost nothing to do with being a man.

[–]too_long_didnt_read 16 points17 points18 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It doesn't. At all.

[–]brain_candy 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I can't tell you how reassuring it is to see this, and that it is well-received. The notion that personal growth can supersede "bangin sluts yo" is commonly frowned upon for no solid reason that I can find. Most of the time when my goal of personal improvement and lack of interest with dating at this time is stated, people seem to look at me as less of a man. I must be trying to bang sluts 24/7 otherwise my manhood will be in doubt!! What a load of shit.

[–]INomYou 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Agreed. It's an opportunistic by-product of improving yourself - if you decide to make it one - but not the main purpose of trp.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Was the victory, banging the girl, or having the ability and confidence to do so without reproach.

[–]TRP Vanguard: "Dark Triad Expert"IllimitableMan 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Both are victories.

[–]ComplainyGuy 11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The opposition to conspiracists are...normal people generally

The opposition to redpill are feminists.

Nobody likes feminists, they are MORE hated (due to their absolute nonsense, society damaging hyperbole, drama, and false positives) than a successful, down to earth sober red pill man.

In regards to how this board stays up:

  • Highly organized and well thought out moderation, including moderator created rules to keep this sub alive.

  • Gilding of comments on this sub.

In regards to your signal to noise ratio comments, :

  • The constant addition of signal (people who know what they are talking about).

  • The continuation of current signal (people who know what they are talking about stick around to keep the signal strong).

  • The erosion of noise. It is possible that a lot of the people that don't know what they are talking about or don't understand RP, simply leave this subreddit.

  • Mod banning of destructive noise. I think this one is very important. We have people that come in here and post "your(sic) stupid/misogynistic/other insult". In other words, an RP member posted their central on a topic, and another person comes in and starts name calling the poster, throwing around ad hominems, or more http://imgur.com/o1ZW6UZ have a look at that to understand it better. A RP member looking at that thread may waste their time responding to those types of comments. The mods simply ban that person adding destructive noise and now the RP members can spend their time adding value to TRP instead of trying to argue with someone that had no intention of having an educated discussion in the first place.

[–]TRP Vanguard: "Dark Triad Expert"IllimitableMan 21 points22 points23 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Feminists aren't the patriarchy, they actually exist.

Saying that, they're not omnipotent either. I was with 3 girls last night and each slut loved it. Are they whores or girls enjoying their sexual value in it's primacy?

Feminists get too much attention, I mock and laugh. They're the type of women nobody wants, or someone would want her because she's actually cute but her personality is fucking putrid, toxic quarantine signs, stay the fuck away from this crazy bitch she's leaking emotional vitriol.

If this subreddit goes down www.puerarchy.com will replace it, so bookmark it, it's in the sidebar and don't fret - the message and endeavour will live on.

[–]muuh-gnu 9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

Better moderation?

This is my guess. Controversial boards wouldnt survive a day without draconian moderation.

Leftists have mastered the art of organized mass infiltration, false flags, bait-n-switch, ganging up, "stealthily destroying from the inside" and long cons too well that you could hope that the board equivalent of a free market would correct itself over the long term. The ages of intellectual honesty are long over, we're back to dirty ideological warfare where everything is allowed.

ANY kind of community that wants to succeed over the long term has to admit that not everybody is equal, not everybody's presence is equally desireable and that hostile perturbators and "occupy"-ists have to be forcibly removed for the community to keep functioning.

Open borders does not work, neither in religion, politics, business, no in random internet discussion boards. Indifference is a sure path to obsolescence. Discriminate away.

[–]ComplainyGuy 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Oi fuck you. I'm leftist as fuck. I don't know if you have lived in a country with health care, social wealfair, disability, pensions and high infrastructure spending, but let me tell you fucking right that a solid redpill left-ideology with progressive men donating their time to benefit society is a great thing that has lead Australia, Sweden, and France to have terrific societies in comparison to many more 'right wing' rubbish.

I'm trying to tie in the fact that left-wing can be red pill. Perhaps this will help

Equality is not justice. Equality is giving the short person and the tall person a box each. Justice is giving the short person 2 boxes and the tall person no boxes.

Left-wing is about equality. Feminism is about "justice". I view justice as a dirty word and so should you.

[–]RedPillScare 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Leftist, liberal, and the like have a different meaning in the USA than in the UK and Commonwealth. Don't take excessive offense.

[–]no_game_player 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I view justice as a dirty word and so should you.

Oy vey. Starts a complaint about a situational misuse of a word, ends with using a localized definition of a term as a global. Terrible.

Look "left", "right", "justice", "fairness", they're all broad enough to be essentially meaningless in a global, all-encompassing definition. Apply it to a given context, and one can take issue with a local definition. But try to redefine and claim as absolute again, and you're making the same damn mistake you started out complaining about...

"Hey, your definition is over-broad and incorrect! Shut up and listen to my over-broad definition instead!" Riiiiight.

[–]the99percent1 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Lol watch as the australian liberal government privatizes social welfare and university loans. Disbands the NBN, first home owners grant, and medicare.

That's what the new leftist government is going to do.

[–]the99percent1 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Just curious, why is the blue pill sub called the blue pill? Isnt being a beta the default modus operandi for the majority of people? Why then do they need to name their sub as such? Is it because they visit TRP and rather prefer their way of picking up chicks when it's clearly not working? I don't get it..

[–]ComplainyGuy 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

In the matrix, you take the red pill to wake up from the rest of the drones and realise you were living a lie. Something didn't feel right but you weren't sure what until you took the pill and woke up.

You take the blue pill and you go back to living your life as it is. Living inside the matrix, a lie, a false reality of things where you have no control and nothing in front of you is as you perceive it (because you refuse to perceive the reality of what it is)

[–]the99percent1 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

Yeah I get that.. But why the need to call your sub 'the blue pill'? Isn't that counter productive as you are acknowledging that there are other pills to swallow in life.

You don't see regular people in the Matrix acknowledging that their lives may be fake and that there might be an outside world. By definition of being ignorant, you only can see one side of the story.

It doesn't make sense to me at all. Why would you name your sub that plays along with the same themes of this sub? Esp if your goal is to be ignorantly bliss and conform with what society wants you to be.

I mean a more appropriate name for them is the acronym MWSFWCB or 'men who support feminism with castrated balls.' At least that shows them to be correctly ignorant.

[–]RedPillScare 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because they are opposed to TRP, they've adopted a monicker which is TRP's opposite.

Any depth of meaning beyond a reflexive oppositionality is incorrectly inferred.

[–]ComplainyGuy 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Hah. I'm just running on the assumption these people are too busy in their arts degrees to watch the matrix, which came out when they were 5.

[–]st_sinner 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They label themselves as a circlejerk subreddit, so they chose the name opposite /r/TheRedPill to show their unflinching opposition.

[–]dropit_sphere 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They don't advocate any specifics (They'd say "don't be a douche would be a good start," but even they admit that's nothing near to a strategy), nor do they really represent an alternative. I think they'd say they're just trying to satirize TRP.

[–]Endorsed Contributor30303030303030 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Because there is nothing wrong in here.

Also don't compare us to /r/conspiracy. Completely different entities.

[–]through_a_ways[S] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Completely different subject matters, but they're similar in the key ways I described. Both are counter-mainstream on reddit. Both have dedicated boards of people who hate them.

[–]gg_s 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I don't buy a word of it.

Jailbait-type subs were banned because the content ("sexualization of minors") inched a legal tightrope that threatened Reddit as an entity. On the other hand, TRP conducts itself well clear of any legal gray area and poses zero liability for Reddit proper.

Shutting down subs because they don't make money is total horseshit. This chain-letter logic was spun by someone who doesn't understand basic business strategy. First, closing a nonperforming sub yields no benefit or savings, and keeping the sub incurs no loss. Second, closing subs reduces the breadth of comments convertible into gold purchases. Fewer subs = fewer conversions = fewer revenues. Reddit has a strategic interest in fostering a vast community. Case in point: spacedicks.

[–]Newthinker 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

How could it yield no benefit or savings? Reducing the amount of bandwidth required to host a subreddit (especially with one that has moderate traffic like this one) would certainly create some savings in the long run.

I agree with your second point. But can you really imagine keeping up with the content of 264,793 subreddits? Only the ones that cause controversy would really get noticed.

[–]eixan 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Reddit has advertising on every page for each user that does not use ad block.

[–]through_a_ways[S] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

How is anybody making any sort of money through TRP?

[–]ComplainyGuy 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You pay RL$ for gold buddy

[–]replyaccount 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Ignore him. His conspiracy theory makes no sense whatsoever because I read TRP almost daily and I haven't ever seen a single gilded comment. This sub hasn't been deleted for some reason, but it's definitely not because tons of people are buying gold in this sub.

[–]TRP Vanguard: "Dark Triad Expert"IllimitableMan 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I read TRP almost daily and I haven't ever seen a single gilded comment.

Had 3 gilded comments in 8 days on this sub. Check my profile, click gilded.

[–]replyaccount 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Well I'm surprised, but I don't think I'm wrong in saying that it's an extremely rare phenomenon. Compared to any of the defaults where you're pretty much guaranteed to see a gilded comment within the top 3 comment threads, in every single post.

[–]TRP Vanguard: "Dark Triad Expert"IllimitableMan 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You're not wrong.

[–]TRP VanguardVZPurp 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think a more reasonable assessment would be a per subscriber/active readership measurement.

[–]through_a_ways[S] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I suppose you're right, I wouldn't expect TRP types to buy something dumb like reddit gold. Wouldn't expect them to go around karmawhoring so they could give gold, either.

[–]garblegarble12 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Are you yourself trolling? There is nothing in common between TRP and a conspiracy sub. Many subs go against popular opinion. TRP raises valid points around an issue that most people are beginning to acknowledge privately if not publicly. R/conspiracy is a bunch of nutters posting disparate theories. Stop posting off-topic drivel.
