Her: "So what? You do Y and I hate it."

Him: "Okay. But, see, I wanted to talk about X, and Y is completely unrelated."

Her: "Why should you get what you want when I never do?"

Him: "So the ideal relationship is one where we both do an equal number or magnitude of things the other person hates and never address any of it, because it's fair, equal, and balanced that way?"

Her: "Fair? You also do A, B, C, D, E, and F! I'm sick of you! You're so fucking selfish! You made a serious mistake trying to engage me in a logical discussion, you beta tool!"

i tell them to repeat back to me what i just said if they try twisting my words. " so what what you're saying is gobble gobble hamster" "no, can you repeat back to me the actual words that just came out of my mouth?" its also a shit test to see if they're actually listening.

She'll snap out of the emotional tit for tat justification of herself (bashing me or what I do) and try to figure out the problem with me. At least for a while.

Im a software engineer. Understanding and processing logic is like breathing to me. When I was younger I would call woman out on logical fallacies before I even knew what a logical falacy was.

The problem isnt finding fallacies in peoples statements. Its how you go about addressing someones ignorant stupid illogical conclusion.

Never call a woman out on it and try to step through the logical process of why she is wrong. You can tell her she isnt making sense... but as soon as you start stepping through her thinking process as if you were debugging code.... You are done. You lost. It doesnt matter who is right and wrong.. because now in her eyes.. you are just out to get her and always prove her wrong.

Of course if you dont have any intentions of long term, fuck em. Explain that shit like you are teaching a 7th grader that when you XOR two trues, you get a false.

I was thinking of creating a sort of flash-card website. Where you are given a logical fallacie, and have to come up with a on the fly response. That response would be put in a list of responses. You vote yay/nay on three+ responses of others, and then you get to see the top witty responses. It'll promote a kind of shit-test/intra-personal bs practice culture.

Whenever my GF argues with me about something, I just realize that she wants attention. Women crave attention, arguing is like attention heaven. Think of how it goes down in a BP house - She gets to yell and scream and perform, you keep telling her the same things over and over, yet she slowly breaks you down.

If she gets argumentative, just take away your attention. She will get super argumentative. Leave the house for a while. She will be sweet when you get back, like it was still the honeymoon phase of your relationship. Then you give her some attention, reward that pleasantness, and she will be stuck like that for maybe 2 weeks. Then it will come back, and you rinse - repeat.

I don't think it's that she isn't arguing properly (committing logical fallacies) when she's arguing. It's that when she's arguing, she's not actually arguing, she's just throwing a mini-tantrum because she wants some validation / to feel important.

I was telling my Dad about an argument I was having with a LTR. I explained how I was using logic and she wasn't. He flatly said, "You're wasting your time if you're trying to argue logically with a women."

Remember, most women are nothing more than teenagers trapped in adult bodies, so much of the logic you would apply to a rebellious teenager, you can also apply to women. Women CRAVE attention. They really don't care what kind of attention, be it positive or negative, so long as they're getting attention. This is why ignoring them when they're lashing out or trying to start a shit test argument is the best course of action. Do NOT validate her with a response.

There's one I think should be added to the list:

"Its (insert year here.)"

I see it used more and more on television, in writing, and of course on reddit. Its a favorite of feminists and the LGBTQGUZ (or whatever its called these days) crowd, used to imply that the truth of their position is so self evident, the expiration date for having a reasoned debate for it is lng past.

Now, to be fair, Ive used it myself. For example, in reference to creationism being taught in schools I might say 'oh god, come on man, its 2014 and we're still debating evolution?'

Well, I will make an effort to stop this logical fallacy of laziness, and hiding behind the veil of being on the progressive side. Its too easy to paint one side as 'backwards' while the other is 'progressive', things are more comp'icated than that.

YOU CANNOT APPLY LOGIC TO A WOMANS AGRUMENT. Women argue emotionally, it's not about what she saying, it's about how she feels. If you did something wrong the answer is not to buy her another soda or whatever because you drank hers. The answer is to let her know you understand you were wrong and being a jerk for drinking her soda. Let her know you respect her and did not do it because you consider her less than you, or that she doesn't deserve a soda or whatever. She is not looking for a resolution, she is looking to feel better about herself, to be appreciated, acknowledged...

Don't believe me? OK try this little experiment. In the case above, you drank her imaginary soda right? Instead of buying her a soda just tell her all of the things I mentioned about respect and the principal of the whole thing. And see if that satisfies her more than just saying i'm sorry and buying her another soda.
