First of all get your mind out of the gutter...

I'm 24 years old. Single. I lost my virginity at 15 to a girl I wound up dating for most of high school. I've been with other women including some downright gorgeous ones. So I really don't think this is just about wanting sex. I feel this burning desire to have children. I've always wanted kids but within the last say 2 years it's become almost an obsession. I think about it almost every day. Hell the reason I'm writing this now is because last night I literally had a dream about me in my parents house with them and my sons (who just looked like spitting images of me as a kid).

I feel like I'm losing my mind almost because although I have always wanted kids I know I'm just getting my career started and entering the prime of my manhood. There's still a lot of things I want to do and see before I have to make that major commitment of starting a family.

The worst part is though I feel like it's making me evaluate every woman based on how I think our prospective children would look and how suitable a mother she would be. As a result, looking at the women my age, I feel absolute despair. Very few women meet this standard for numerous reasons (which I'm sure you're all aware of via AWALT and how our society has degraded at least in my view) and I feel like it's really hurting my ability to "play the game".

I almost feel like I'm building up this ideal perfect mother of my children in my head and I know that's not good. It took me a long time to internalize abundance mentality and other TRP truths and I don't want to slide backward or worse stay in a permanent monk mode and lose interest in women.

My other major fear is if and when I do find that woman I'm a traditional guy and come from a traditional family. The idea of having a family without the bond of "holy matrimony" is just not acceptable.

And yet I've read too many horror stories here and elsewhere about divorce rape. I've seen too many of my father's drinking buddies on their 2nd and 3rd marriages who have lost their houses and hard earned savings to bitch ex wives. Even worse is the thought of losing all that AND her taking the children and probably even my fucking dog.

So I feel this massive conflict between what I want and what I've been told to want by my parents and society and the reality of what I see the women in society have to offer. Maybe 1/100 of the women I see are worthy of all that I want. Maybe 1/1000? Less?

And even if I do meet that woman and wind up with her I STILL have to roll the dice on divorce rape, branch swinging, AF/BB, AWALT and all the other TRP truths every fucking day the rest of my life.

I feel so confused and frustrated. I guess basically what I'm asking is for advice from older guys here. Especially ones who have children of their own and good marriages. Also would like to hear the perspective of divorced men (or who aren't married to the mother) with children.

I can consciously recognize the reason I feel like this is probably just my hormones and my own male version of the biological clock. If I were living in the neolithic I probably would already have a woman or two and a couple of kids. But that doesn't make my mental struggle any easier.

Any advice or personal experience in this realm would be greatly appreciated.
