Since we've used the red and blue pill from the Matrix movie as an analogy for differentiating the truth of reality and the blissful ignorance of illusion. I thought it would be interesting take a look at the idea of being "being plugged back in" which also comes up in the original movie.

There is a scene where Cypher (a member of the resistance) wants to betray the resistance. He wishes to get plugged back in, because the struggle of the resistance seems to be too much for him and he would rather live in blissful ignorance.

Cypher: You know, I know this steak doesn't exist. I know that when I put it in my mouth, the Matrix is telling my brain that it is juicy and delicious. After nine years, you know what I realize?

Cypher: Ignorance is bliss.

The analogy can be drawn here too. Most (all?) of us were inside "the Matrix", which in our case is the brainwashed blue pill world view.

We were told that women were fully our equals, and that their capacities do not differ from ours in any way. This meant that we could fully confide in her, we could be emotional, we could cry, we could share with her our insecurities, we could be open about our weaknesses and that some deep and passionate love and partnership would develop.

I have read many times on TRP where many of you guys have expressed that you would have loved this sort of world, and noticed how some of you have called these men out for idealizing a blue pill world. I don't think there is anything wrong with wishing that this was the reality. It could be a very beautiful world if it wasn't for the fact that our species might have gone extinct. Imagine a world without hamstering, hypergamy, AFBB and where many more of these patterns (caused by evolution) would simply not exist. Of course this is simply not realistic as it would be detrimental to the survival of our species.

We have now of course found out that there are very fundamental differences between men and women in their capacities. Men and women generally have different qualities and we must adapt to the fact that it's a cruel world where only the strong will survive and that for this reason evolution has hardwired it for women are attracted to alpha males, and that the only place that beta qualities play any sort of role is in a LTR / marriage due to the fact that (once again because of evolution) women seek a protecting provider / father who will be there to help take of the children.

I feel as if though, at least in a good part of the western world, this evolutionary hardwiring of seeking alpha men is no longer necessary, but
