I have been in Vegas since Tuesday for work, bookended the weekend on before coming home.

With an IT trade show in town with 13,000+ men, any non-working girls were pretty scarce. Even Thursday night was poor as the ratio was so bad. I was there for work and I was successful in making new connections and business so the first part of my week was good. Lessons learn here, if you are going to Vegas, unless you are staying at the Wynn or Encore, you are better off on the south strip (think MGM, NYNY, Mandalay, Aria).

On Friday morning with the trade show finished up and I changed hotels from the venetian to the MGM Grand. Not only was this hotel cheaper for the weekend the logistics were fantastic. This my first time at the MGM and I have to say I will be back.

Vegas is all about connections, but on this trip, I didn't use any I didn't make before I arrived, so all these should be available to you.

Tip #1: Roll in wearing a suit and pass the front desk person $20 between your ID and Credit Card. Then ask what they have for upgrades. They will tell you, we only accept tips after the fact (which if they can't help you, they give you the $20 back) but since she knew she had extra coming, she upgraded me to a suite with quick access to Hakkasan, waived the early check in fee and set me up with a players card. Basically for $20 she saved me almost $200

My room was awesome, had a great view of the strip and blackout blinds, which if you are planning to go until 4am, they are a godsend the next morning. I grabbed some quick lunch, had a fridge delivered (stay out of the mini-bar $$$$$, the fridge is free and the cart makes a nice bar) and stocked it up from the Walgreens down the street. A Mickey of vodka and rum, with a diet coke, red bull and orange juice and you have a nice mini bar for about $30. This is perfect for pre-gaming and lets you use the excuse "Just come up and have a drink, I have an amazing view" to quiet a thrashing hamster. Again use Walgreens or CVS not the hotel gift shop, also stock up on condoms if you didn't bring any, nothing slows a bad Vegas decision down faster than having to go get equipment.

Tip 2: This only applies to Hakkasan, but since this is currently the hottest and biggest club in Vegas if not the world, this is where you should be. I am rolling completely solo, no wing, no girls, just me. Still suited up from checking in, after dropping your bags off in your room, head to the front entrance of the club. There is a VIP host there, walk by him, and head to the restaurant door, in there, there are 2 girls making reservations for the restaurant. Flirt with them a bit, charm them about how stoked you are to see the club and ask them what is the best way for a single guy to get in without the line. They will tell you a restaurant reservation of course, ask if that includes access to the club for Tiesto or Calvin Harris which they may say no. Ask if there is anything that they can do? They now should take you over to the VIP host and you treat him well and he should hook you up. I ate at the Hakkasan restaurant both nights around 11:00pm and for a plate of very good noodles and a glass of rum I got into to the hottest club in Vegas for less than 40 bucks, money I would have spent on dinner anyway

Once you are done eating, ask the waitress or host to take you up to the club. There is a back stairway that takes you right up by passing the insane lines. Stick with the stairs in the club, the elevators are packed and not worth it.

Ok so you now have all the tips on how to pull this off, the question you are asking is did it work at getting me laid? Yes, yes it did.

Friday night: Ate at the restaurant bar and a girl sat down beside and actually opened me while I was enjoying a high end rum. I was suited up with pocket square and tie so this happens, we hit it off, but I immediately disqualified her because she was a lawyer. She counters saying she is more into girls anyway... Game on. I had picked up an extra pass to the club on the street earlier (having two tickets to anything for free is always good) and said great, you can be my wingman tonight. Up we went to the club and had a blast, she worked as a great pivot, but also spent a good amount of time qualifying herself to me. She was hot, but not the hottest in the club, but she kept pulling out more crazy stuff to make the night awesome.

At about 1:00am we are up on the vip level and with the right amount of tip and tail, she gets us invited into a VIP booth suite right beside the DJ. This booth is full of 3 guys and countless hot girls. I befriend the guy, chat with them and they are all cool with me there. Be friendly, don't leech off the bottle unless they poor it for you, and if they do, slip him a $20 as a thank you, treat him as a host as if he is dropping 2-3k on the bottles, give them the respect and have a good time. We dance and party and my wing starts grabbing girls and making out with them, which made the booth owners quite happy. Sometime at this point the wing says she is coming home with me for sure, but is going to do her best to bring one of the other girls too. She gets really close with one girl, but since I didn't push for the exit as I wanted to see this DJ play the other girl's bitchy friend laid down the block. I basically just held frame danced and didn't give a fuck who my wing was kissing or making out with. It was funny as hell having all the other girls come up to me being pissed off because my wing was stealing their attention because she was being forward to the guys. Eventually she pissed one chick off enough that I decided it was time for us to exit. Short trip back to my room, for some of the wildest and craziest sex I have had. We talked about doing this again next time running the game for the three or more some a bit better. She had a 10 am flight the next morning so she left my room at 7am, and I had to feel sorry for the maid changing the sheets. Texted me the next day about how good of time she had and that we we should do it again soon.

Saturday: Got up at about 11am - black out blinds rock. Got some food, and wandered around a bit, went back to the room around 2pm and slept again until 6:30pm. Had drinks with an old friend at the center bar to get me into a positive and talkative mood, said good bye to her at 11:00 to go have dinner at the Hakkasan restaurant. Had my dinner, got into the club, drank some scotch and bounced around the environment, opening here and there but not having any hooks. Eventually I say screw it and push my way onto the dance floor. It's more a mosh pit than a dance floor but there is smoking girls all over it. Eventually around 1:30am Tiesto comes on, and I spot this super cute Latina. I just keep looking at her in eyes and she comes over and asks me why, I just shrug and start dancing with her. It's packed but I make a bit of space by pulling in some salsa moves and spinning her a few times (This works really well as it makes space and shows leadership), she then pulls in, we make out and end up at second base on the floor. Listen to 2 more songs and then pull the lets get out of here. 5 minutes later we are up having drinks in my room and she pulls out a ton of LMR, she is visiting from Mexico, no phone, her friends are gone, but eventually I turn her on enough, she asks if I have a condom, I say I do, and she begs me to seal the deal. She leaves shortly after as she is worried about her friends. I don't think she even knows my name :) Holding frame was key and let me have an excellent Vegas experience with no one other than myself, my wits and 2 suits.

my report:

got 3 plates happening right now. the last one i met at a party, played some pool together and i bombed royally. made her laugh. i was straight forward with her; it helps that i go to the gym and look buff.

she immediately said i was her kind of guy but also made sure to say she's not that interested in sex with guys she meets on the first night.

i shook it off, literally payed 0 attention to that and pressed on forward. we talked some more and she kept giggling.

Hit the gym on Friday, stayed in, my body was complaining hard. Got some finances in order on Saturday, made almost 10% return on my ETF picks, since I started in April. Adjusted portfolio and shortlisted some stocks I wanted to track.

Went out for a bit, but crashed and burned. So no big deal, just have to keep at it. I give off a thirsty, desperate vibe. Something I need to work on. Alcohol seems to push all my insecurities and doubts to the forefront. So I plan on cutting consumption of it. But at the same time, without alcohol, I'm not as social. I was debating taking Xanax, but I don't want to use a pill to solve this. I just need more confidence at the end of the day.

To be honest, it's fine, logistics are crap right now. I plan moving closer to downtown around April of next year, near a 24 hour bus route.

Otherwise, monk mode. But I want to explode out of it like you guys, but I need to get my house in order (finances, logistics, overall physique)

My Field report

I can see the company I am working for is going down the tubes. Poor executives, poor hiring decisions, productivity is taking a nosedive.

Started networking, called up a buddy who floated the idea of me moving to his company a few months ago. Totally unrelated field to what I am doing now but have lots of experience in it from my earlier days.

Had the interview today, starting a new job in January.

I informed the wife today and she was a bit pissed as I will be away a lot until she heard about the big increase in pay and where they want me in a year from now.

Not stupid though, not handing in my resignation until I have to in December.

I'm spending the winter in a different region, don't have any plates around her and I've been busy with projects, getting set up to live and working on a couple cars.

Day late but I'm still on a bit of a high from this so whatever.

Went out to a club on the weekend with some friends who were home, and got a lot of positive female attention. Including from one of the friends, who has a boyfriend who didn't make the trip home this time.

It's been ages since I went out and I've gotten in way better shape (basically been monk mode for a few months), so I was not prepared. Dance floor escalation is ridiculous and I didn't move fast enough. Doesn't matter, I know for next time to kick it up faster.
