So it's the night before thanksgiving and two of my four sisters are home for the holiday.

I should first mention that I am the youngest of my family and have four older sisters, all of who are what you would call real "feminists". I've always felt a certain pressure against me strictly due to my sex and especially because of my sisters. In recent years, as "feminism" as we see it has just exploded on the internet, all four of my sisters have become militant about it. One of my sisters even refuses to use women's restrooms and uses mens' instead because her beliefs are apparently against gender assigned restrooms. I find the whole thing to be a little ridiculous but I never dare question it or joke about it because i would immediately be called out as like a misogynist and it would lead to a tense relationship with my sisters and parents.

So we are eating dinner and the conversation is on a recent crime committed by a female. My extremely feminist older sister said, "To quote George Carlin, and I agree with him, "Women are crazy because men are stupid"'. I immediately called her out and said that that was a pretty bullheaded idea that "men are stupid" just in general, and that she was quoting a comedian to prove her feminist point. It was then explained to me that she had just been broken up with a few days earlier. She is, I can only say, emotionally temperamental and as soon as I said that her idea was bunk I was accused of "mansplaining" something to her and that I could never understand what it feels like to be a woman.

Okay. Well. I don't know what it's like to be a woman. That's very true. But being a man nowadays is pretty damn tricky as well. Don't cross the invisible line! Check your privilege! Honestly, which way is up any more?
