Except they aren't bastard children. I mean, they are, but women don't see them that way. These babies have a baby-daddy alright, and that daddy is big government combined with a child support check from a sperm donor. I've said this before; women's need for the Beta provisioning male is gone. Betas are going the way of the horse and buggy, the typewriter, and the do-do bird.

There is literally nothing a man can provide a woman, except sex, that she can't get from the government. Food, housing, baby formula, clothing, daycare assistance, you name it. Women know it, and that's why they have little to no qualms about birthing children out of wedlock. For all of the shaming and finger wagging, she knows damn well she won't end up in the streets. Our decadent, coddling society won't allow it (at least as long as the tax base can support it).

The way I see it, beta men will go one of two ways:

The ones who can hack an alpha lifestyle will do it. They will start working out, getting in primo shape, learning game, dressing better, and start becoming the "dancing clown" fuck toys that today's women want.
The one's who can't hack an alpha lifestyle will become more and more like the omega neckbeard incels who play video games in mom's basement and eat Pizza Rolls and Cheetos. Even the betas who still try to go out and try to meet women will give up on doing so.

Know what both of these prototypical men have in common? Neither of them will be productive enough to sustain society. Even if Alphas get and maintain a good job, there won't be enough of them contributing to society. And the betas, well...who needs a good job when working the fry basket at McDonalds is more than enough money to basement dwell and buy PS4 games?

It will be even worse for society, however, if the 80/20 rule becomes more and more like the 90/10 or the 95/5 rule. What if more and more men decide that women just aren't worth the hassle? The introduction of sexbots (like what was predicted in The Misandry Bubble) into the mix will further accelerate this process.

tl/dr - the status quo of increasing numbers of bastard children and the breakdown of the nuclear family will be the downfall of society

The next time I think to myself, have times really changed or is it just a few bad apples? I know now that things are different in our generation.

People are responding to incentives.

For women: they can have children that will be supported by the father and the state regardless of marriage. They no longer settle down at age 23, they plan to settle down at 30. At which point men are wary, they can no longer get the alphas, and many just can't quite settle down into a relationship they can be haaaaaappy with any more. But they can manage to get pregnant if they felt like it that evening.

For men: marriage is a trap that we've all seen older men fall into and want no part of, so we don't do it. Sex is available outside marriage and not inside it, alimony is imposed as well. Paying more to get less? Not for me thanks ...

Fully 40% of all children born today are born out of wedlock. In other words, it's worse than anyone's worst fears and it's only getting worse.

Old news. Just look at urban dystopias all over this nation where in-wedlock births have been abnormal for a couple of generations. Unfortunately the USA is on its way to becoming one big Detroit.

Absolutely different. In some ways good, in many ways bad. The sad thing is, so many of these women are having babies by guys who are broke deadbeats so it is the tax payer that ends up footing the bill, becoming the replacement provider for so many women.

I know one woman who has three kids by three different men. Each guy is "hawt" but makes less than $10 an hour and the mother gets over $400 in food stamps as she works full-time and only makes $9 an hour.

But if my fiancee and I have kids, we'll be the only ones paying for them because we work hard, went to college, and waited till we could afford kids. No one is giving us free money for being worthless people, and that is bullshit.

In a long enough timeline all nations will be nations of bastards basically. I dont see any way to reverse this trend, but we will have to accept the implications. Basically we live in national states where the nuclear family is the unit. Without the ability to create my own genetic heritage, i have no incentive to fight for any abstract country and save someone's bastards. We 'll probably have to invent new social structures.

Brutal. I had no idea so many kids were born out of wedlock. The interesting news is, we likely only have a couple more generations of existence as we know it left.

Once AI's start improving, and reach human intelligence levels, they'll quickly improve themselves, becoming exponentially more powerful. The first super-intelligent AI will become godlike in power, and either destroy humanity or give us the means to live forever without any responsibilities.

Already we hear about birth-rates falling, sexbots, and the government as a parent. This may well be a harbinger of a much greater loss of humanity and unification under one power.
