You need to read more RP theory to get an understanding, this is basic branch swinging. Women don't typically stay single after a certain age, they line up backups when they can control their current partner. There are lots of single girls out there.

If you wanted a LTR maybe start with the girl in a relationship who bitches about her boyfriend, then you can be the shoulder to cry on guy. Women LOVE that. Just kidding, don't do that. Notice how that girl was single for a weekend before getting into the next relationship? That's because the 2nd relationship was starting to brew during the 1st relationship and likely was a catalyst to that breakup.

Two things to remember:

A relationship does not mean the girl is off the table. TRP seduction is amoral -- adjust your dating ethics and bro code principles to your level of comfort and recognize that they will change with time and many other factors.
Understand that many of these girls are lying when they say they are in a relationship because they currently prefer whoever they're fucking over you. That doesn't mean anything negative toward you because the girl probably doesn't know you nearly as well as the guy(s) she's already fucking.

TL;DR - Take the phrase "I'm in a relationship" with a grain of salt, and view it as a yellow light.

When I was beta, most girls were attached. When I became alpha (less beta, really), most girls became single. If girls generally appear to be attached/not single, or they tell you that, it's because you're beta, and they don't want to deal with your sexual advances. Duh.

I doubt women who are on the rebound think of it in that sense. All they know is they were emotionally attached to someone and once that's gone there's an emptiness that they want to fill. With FB, Tinder, Bumble it's easier than ever for them to call up someone on deck to fill that void. It probably wont last but they might still consider a BF because that guy is just picking up the baggage from the previous.

the younger the woman is i expect this to be the more likely scenario. Older women know the difference between a rebound, a placeholder and an actual SO.
