Dear TRP reader,
With this post, I will expose a point of view I have developed for some times, and which I think will help us to be more precise, more in-dept in our definition of the world and of the male / female dynamic. This post is a work in progress, but I could use some peer review.
TLDR: A dimension is lacking in TRP view of the male/female dynamic, leading to limit the possibilities for men to grow and understanding of the world.
CORE CONCEPT
In our literature, we often use alpha and beta as two opposing concepts in every situation. This leads to confusion and sometimes even to poor understanding of the situation because we are mixing two concepts:
Alpha and beta as a hierarchy.
And
Alpha and beta as sexuality.
Alpha and beta as a hierarchy.
> The social alpha is a reliable, strong man. Well-balanced, he is a leader of man. He has a mission, he has values, he knows what he wants and takes the actions to get it. He is happy about his life and who he is. Men and women are attracted to this man for those qualities.
> The social beta is a weak-minded man. He is adaptable, because he prefers to please than to be pleased, but still get a lot of frustration out of it. He is influenceable, and accept to be walked over. He is unhappy and feels like a victim. Men and women ignore him for those reasons.
Alpha and beta as a sexuality
> The sexual alpha is a masculine man. At ease with his masculinity and sexuality, he wants women for their femininity and sexuality. He approaches women in a sexual manner.
> The sexual beta is a feminine man. He is uneasy with his masculinity and his sexuality, and buys in the “men and women have the same desires/needs” bullshit. He approaches women in an asexual manner, often pretending his interest are not sexual.
Alpha and beta are the 2 opposites of a spectrum. A man’s position in this spectrum varies during his life, due to his experiences and knowledge of himself and the world. No one is always alpha, and no one is always beta.
Those concepts are used without discernment in today’s manosphere literature, which leads to sometimes poor advices like:
> “Alphas have a status, they get rich”. But the wife still bangs the pool boy.
> “Alphas do not provide, paying for sex is beta”. But the girl still leaves when she understands she can’t build her future with you.
It is in the hope of a better understanding for everyone (including myself) that I wrote this, and want to discuss it with the community.
FOUR ARCHETYPES
If we accept that alpha and beta are not a one-dimension concept (you are either alpha or beta), but a two-dimensions concept as described earlier, we obtain a table with 4 archetypes.
Hierarchical alpha / sexual alpha : the Alpha
The Alpha is exciting. He is at ease in social event, talk confidently, flirt openly. He does not feel the need to brag or to put his life on display. Women don’t know a lot about him, and are attracted to him. The Alpha has a lot of success and he enjoys it, entertaining multiple plates. But if the door of his bedroom is open, the Alpha’s life has not place for commitment. He likes doing his own things, going his own way. Women are a side-dish to his life. After having sex with the Alpha for sometimes, women leave, knowing they won’t be able to obtain the support they need to create and raise a family. The Alpha can be a contributing member of the society, but it is rarely his focus.
Example: Alpha as described by TRP.
Hierarchical beta / sexual alpha : the Omega
The Omega is a social and sexual reject, but he is mostly okay with it (or so he says). He has accepted that his life will be one of a lonely follower, and he does not wish to take the steps to change that, convinced it would not lead to success anyway. When he gets lucky with a girl, he does not wish to commit.
Example: Incel, MGTOW.
Hierarchical alpha / sexual beta : the Father
The Father is the cornerstone of society, and the defender of his owns. He is a leader of men, respects himself and people who he thinks deserve it. His approval means a lot to his social circle, and his friendship is made to last. He wants a family, and looks for women who will deserve his commitment. He does not tolerate bad behaviour, and punishes it with retrieval of his commitment. Thus his friends / women / children treat him respect. Securing a Father is women most grandiose success in life.
Example:
Hierarchical beta / sexual beta : the Beta
The Beta is a Father wannabe. He wants sexuality and commitment so much he is ready to sacrifice everything, even what he is, to that purpose. People does not respect him for his lack of value and frame. As do women. Women who were not capable of securing a father will often fall back on a beta, without feeling love or respect for him. They will fault, cheat, behave poorly, and the Beta will excuse it all. Women will still try to have sex with an Alpha or a Father on the side.
Example: Beta as described by TRP.
The four archetypes are exactly that: archetypes. No one is exactly on of them. The archetypes are the four corners of a box inside which we all evolve. Poorly drawn representation here: incoming
BODY
Today’s TRP is reaching the limit of how much it can science the fuck out of the relationship, and my opinion is because it is confusing hierarchical and sexual concepts. This leads to the following:
> A lot of men following TRP rapidly understand that spinning plates is not a long term fulfilling solution, and are then alone to figure out how to grow out of it.
> On one side, TRP says AWALT and hypergamy, and on the other side to vet women. If committing is beta, you can’t be alpha in a relationship.
> Previous generations, where feminine imperative was less powerful, a lot of men were capable of having families and life-long relationship. However, they were committed to their family and wives (example in islam: as much wives as you can provide for). It is my hypothesis that those men were closer to the Father than the Alpha.
CONCLUSION
The Father and the Omega are not overtly recognised today by TRP, which is a lack in my opinion.
While TRP indirectly push men to be Alpha (TRP) or Father (MRP), the lack of clear literature on each archetype leads confusion for the men following the advices of the manosphere.
I will keep working on this topic, hopefully with your feedback :)
