Currently suffering from a breakup with an LTR, I can’t help but be amazed by how strong of a force and what a nasty bitch oneitis is. I have been well acquainted with the red pill theory for years now, yet still give in to the beta degeneration and oneitis while an LTR passes a certain duration.

Which leads me to wonder - we can perfectly explain feminine behavior patterns using the evolutionary big picture. What’s the evolutionary purpose of a male developing oneitis? If guys with good genes, so-called “alpha”, are meant to fuck multiple women to spread their offspring, why do we ever become fixated with the one? What’s the big picture purpose of men loving women in another way than vice versa, i.e. the way a woman can only love a child - is this solely for the purposes of protection, or to facilitate raising kids?

I can’t agree this is just a cultural concept of the feminine narrative etc., it might be artificially exaggerated by our culture, but there needs to be an evolutionary sense to this. Or I’m just being a little bitch here, I don’t know. Appreciate hearing your perspectives.
