Throughout history men have been willing to marry down for a wife to start a family with. Women are too superficial to consider this and place too much emphasis on career.

I think the reason men are not considered "career men" is because they view careers as a means to gain resources to the point of independence and safety. Women view it purely as a social status mechanism. I'm generalizing here, but it makes a huge difference. If women view careers as social status then they are never going to be willing to marry down, as that would lower their status. It's selfish and they are having a really hard time understanding that the world doesn't revolve around them. Not shocking, to say the least.

The funny thing is that Evo psych studies showed that wmoen of high SES (socioecenomic status) tend to place MORE emphasis on a males resources/status (SES); the funny thing is that men really don't care that much. They don't necessarily want to bang the chad anymore, but they DO want a male their age with equal or greater success, and equal or greater looks. Yet the 38 year old succesful lawyer or banker, if intelligent, is too busy banging 25 year olds and making tons of money to have time for this. And these succesful women tend to have more expectations on their partner because women place so much emphasis on status/resources, and they think if they are attracted to it, men should be as well.

The social implications of that article are pretty big. There are always stories about the female to "willing male" imbalance in the NYC LTR dating scene, but the normalization of behavior like the 41 year old "going it alone" and the egg freezing is really, really, really bad for society. Don't get me wrong, these women are probably fairly high IQ and it is likely in society's best interest for them to have kids, as they will presumably pass on a reasonably high IQ.

But a 41 year old woman really shouldn't dip her toe into single motherhood voluntarily, especially if she has a boy. One of my wife's good friends is 41, single (husband died of brain cancer) and has a 5 year old son. I try to spend some time with the son because he doesn't have anyone to teach him anything about being a boy or man. You can really see the hardship on her face and it is not an enviable position. And that is with a 5 year old, trying to manage a 2 year old on your own at 43 is a recipe for depression and exhaustion. Godspeed to that kid.

As for the egg freezers, these women will presumably be first time mothers in their late 40's or 50's. Again, and this is just nature, you do not have the energy necessary to properly raise an infant or toddler when you are 50. There is a reason God or natural selection or whatever created menopause. That force is much smarter than we are. The scary thing is that the "you go girl" voice blares a million times louder in the MSM than the voice of reason.

That 8 cents on the dollar seems interesting and spot on for the demographic (young, childless, city dwelling women) as compared to (young, childless, city dwelling men).

Even if you disregard educational ability there are a lot of good paying jobs open for young women as soon as they are ready to work. Typically those are jobs that reward looks such as being a hostess, luxury item retail, modelling etc. They can easily out earn young guys and that's without accounting for the resources they get from simply dating men.

In the words of a good girl friend of mine: "had I known what I now know about guys...fuck loco I wouldn't even have had to pay rent".
