This book is fucking with me. I read about a quarter of it before becoming overwhelmed by a case of cognitive dissonance.
She talks about how women play the dumb, helpless victim, not because they are victims, bu because that's how they get men to do stuff for them. Which I get.
But then I thought about how feminism (according to feminists) are trying to empower women so that they aren't as dependent on men.
So then I thought "ok, so maybe feminism is what it says it is."
But then I thought about how men are still raised to stick their necks out for women by defending them and doing shit for them anyway.
And then I became sad because unless every man on the planet reads this shit, they are literally all going to become slaves to women.
So is that it? Is "feminism" just the name they have given to innate femal behaviour? That it's not really a "movement" as it is just "what women do"? And how much of it is conscious?
Like, I used to date this women who drove me crazy and was what ultimately what lead me to discovering things like pick-up by way of a copy of "The Art of Seduction" I found sitting under my father's coffee table. The things she did made me think "she either knows what she is doing and is a cruel bitch, or she has no idea what she is doing or any self-awareness at all - either way, she's dangerous."
So now - after reading as much as I have - I don't really know what to think. All I do know is that I'm confused, and maybe a little bit scared.

Its really worth reading the preface to the book, in which she talks about having written it with some humor. I think it was written to troll feminists, not to empower men.
A more even-handed approach might have been to talk about symbiosis between the sexes, in which each benefits from the specializations of the other.
Its also worth keeping in mind the origin of feminism, which was a liberation movement. Some saw the limited set of paths open to women as a prison from which they could escape. What feminism has achieved is opening doors that were formerly closed to women. Women have more choices than before. The thing is, you can lead a horse to water, but you cant make it drink. There is no built-up demand among women to enter STEM careers, or the military, or to be coal miners or garbage men. The reason for that is simple: the traditional role of supported housekeeper and babysitter is a lot less demanding than being a coal miner. Its great to be showered with free stuff because you have a vagina. Its great having other people falling over themselves to help you.
For thousands, even tens of thousands of years, this has been the way of things. Young girls are taught to be manipulative by their mothers, teachers and peers. Consider the phenomenon of a young girl and her horse. By learning to master this beast of burden, she gets her first taste of power, and of the manipulations to keep this animal under her control. It would be interesting to document how manipulation is taught.
Where all parties are free to choose, no-one is a slave to anyone. You don't have to help women do anything. You don't have to be polite, you don't have to adhere to chivalry. You can, for example, choose not to associate with women at all.
As for the women who drive you crazy. I have also experienced this, but you don't give many details, so I don't know exactly what you're talking about. In my opinion, the cruelty is instinctive and self-awareness close to zero. I read a quote somewhere "If you want to see the true nature of a woman, look to how she treats people from whom she derives no benefit". It also worth looking at the origins of this - young girls.
Girls Just Want to Be Mean - read this, and note how heartless and cruel the girls are.
I remember meeting friends 6yo kid and hearing him tell a joke I had heard when I was a kid. I wondered how he learned the joke: his parents denied telling it to him. I formulated a theory that there is culture of 6-year-olds, which is passed on to them by 7-year-olds.

Feminism was borne out of women who wished to be men, in every sense of the word. Of course this was not possible and so their appetite was never sated and their cause has since been co-opted for individual gain (see: self-promoting activist feminists).
This explains the two types of feminists. The vituperous self-promoter and the rancorous lemming.

I think I came off more terse than I intended. I enjoyed what I read and it was refreshing to hear all this from a woman. I'm glad you linked it, it absolutely belongs in TRP.
I would add it strengthened my resolve that American women are generally deplorable (through no fault of their own) and that European women have at least some semblance of awareness (again, attributable to culture). I have observed the author's assertion that American culture and its impact on "love" is being exported to the rest of the world. It might be worth clarifying America is not at fault either. Its culture is a product of its supremacy and a similar culture pervaded Europe in the 19th century. Schopenhauer has a short essay on just that here.
I strongly recommend reading it. Among the insights it provides are a justification for polygamy and many of the redeeming qualities of women (mostly in juxtaposition to male faults).
I should add, I especially enjoyed her characterization of the human race as those who work (men) and those who do not (women). Amusing.
Like Schopenhauer and others I'm not especially enthused by the prospect of marriage (double duties for half the privileges) and I don't find children necessary. As our female author noted these realizations would leave a man impervious to the wiles of woman, I'd like to think she's right.

Man's curiosity is universal. There is almost nothing that does not interest him, whether it is politics, botany, nuclear physics, or God knows what. Even subjects out of his province hold his interest, such as bottling fruit, preparing cake mix, or caring for a baby And a man could not be pregnant for months without knowing all the functions of the placenta and ovaries in detail.
This really spoke to me. This is a nice read, just to get what feels like an honest interpretation of how women think.
