About 1% to 2% sounds correct.

Red Pill tends to lump the marriage of a Beta male to a single mother with a pre-existing (Alpha fucks) child as cuckolding.

Actual cheating and deceiving is rare.

In the 1800's marriage success was 95%, so that gives some idea of near perfect family boundries.

There are a lot of guys that brag about cuckolding, but it's mostly bragging.

From what I see is this article separates paternity testers into two groups. High confidence and low confidence. High confidence being that paternity is felt to be almost certain and low confidence where there is a suspicion that paternity is not certain.

This survey of published estimates of non-paternity suggests that for men with high paternity confidence, non-paternity rates are typically 1.7%

Men who have low paternity confidence and have chosen to challenge their paternity through laboratory testing are much less likely than men with high paternity confidence to be the fathers of their putative children. Although these men presumably have lower paternity confidence than men who do not seek paternity tests, this group is heterogeneous; some men may be virtually certain that the putative child is not theirs, while others may simply have sufficient doubts to warrant testing. Most of these men are in fact the fathers of their putative genetic children; only 29.8% could be excluded as biological fathers of the children in question.

What's interesting about this article is that they don't specifically mention how high confidence paternity is tested. Particularly considering that men who are certain of their paternity are much less likely to get tested for it.

Also if you look at the rates for non-paternity on table 2 the rates vary from 14.3% to 55.6%.

Furthermore, studies like this require parental consent to have children tested. So I am somewhat suspicious.

If your round that, that is roughly 1 out of every 25 human beings walking out on the street right now being the product of cuckoldry. I find this to be a shocking number, but to each their own I suppose. So it's rare in comparison to what? We are talking about giving birth to a child from a secret father to be raised by another man here, right? This number is enormous!

But what's more interesting is how the rate varies by population group, and age - and this may be more relevant to some here:

So we can see that slicing and dicing the numbers in subgroups can generate some rather more outrageous results - these could be more relevant, and significant for some population groups here on TRP. As usual, ethnicity as well as lower socioeconomic class, younger age, and higher levels of deprivation seem to be risk factors for both PD as well as other sexual health issues (for example, teenage pregnancy and STIs).

"pre-cuckolding" is actually more prevalent - Women when they are young and hot have their love child with their hot alpha bad boy that won't commit to a marriage, so she later finds and marries a grateful beta guy. Even if it is rare (and while it may be rarer than some alarmist say, it's not all that rare) it's still a massive issue, worthy of the very highest levels of concern.

Assuming this figure is correct, which I am doubtful. Lets say that 3.7% of loans issued by a bank where to fraudulent borrowers. I am sure the banking industry would be saying bank fraud is rare, it is only 3.7%. Or lets say 3.7% of people got mugged every year, I am sure that people would say mugging is rare, lets not worry about it.

Birth control and condoms make cuckolding rare nowadays. That doesn't mean cheating is rare just the consequences are rare. Most women would probably divorce in situations where cuckolding actually happened. They would probably lose all attraction to their beta husbands and rather be with the new guy or alone.

The problem with many studies of human deviant behavior is that they often need participants to be honest and truthful - even anonamous, there is no guarantee the numbers are anywhere close to accurate. This study may provide a minimum frequency. A better interpretation is to say AT LEAST 2% of the population...

There's nothing that can induce more anxiety in a man, even the most plugged in man, than coming to the realization that this can and does happen. The prospect of a shark attack is also pretty damn scary.

What we, as men, need to do is stay reasonable on the matter and deal with the facts that scientific inquiry presents. That is, this is not as common as it sometimes seems. Nothing could make you come across as less of a man than to worry about something that is less likely to happen than being hit by a car.

And I'd also like to see guys stop using the word cuckholding to mean something that it doesn't mean. Spurting into a rubber with a woman who is in the middle of a divorce is not cuckholding.
