"New pussy carrot dangling", as an article that appeared here not too long ago describes it, does not work on me.

I like sex, but when a girl turns out clingy and crazy as a result of her realizing that sex might be the one thing she can offer and nothing else, it ends.

I don't want a girl who will show up just to fuck, I want a girl who will show up to have a drink, do something for me (cooking for example) and then maybe we get down.

If I were a guy solely motivated by sex, I would have a lot more sex.

The only thing a hungry man wants is food. The only thing a drowning man wants is air. Sex is just another one of these life needs.

If you have money, food, good living, but no sex, then sex will be all you need and yearn for.

If you have money, food, good friends, lots of good sex, good life, then you need and look for something else. What this something else is, depends entirely on the individual.

while most men aren't like that, I do think that men that are highly successful also have very high sex drives. from a purely biological level, testosterone isn't just correlated with sex drive, but physical health and fitness, and dopamine (which is correlated with sex dive) isn't just correlated with sex, but the entire reward system in the brain. so their brains aren't just rewarding them for having lots of sex, but for every extra point they score, fight they win, and dollar they earn.

it's also been proven that your mood affects your T levels. after a basketball game some scientists measured the T levels of some fans before and after a basketball game. the T of the fans for the winning team went up and the fans of the losing team went down. so it's also possible that the simple act of being successful makes your sex drive higher. Also, it's been proven that watching porn raises testosterone levels, as does talking with attractive women. since women are more likely to flirt with/poach successful men it stands to reason that men that get hit on by attractive women all day (on average) get a bigger boost to their T than the average male.

but in my opinion the most damning piece of evidence is listening to highly successful/driven men talk about crazy shit they'd do just to get laid.

edit: also (and this is as much an piece of evidence as it is an explanation) we all know that women only pay attention to the 10% of the most successful men and ignore the other 90% (The apex fallacy) So if women complain about how all men are only interested in sex it doesn't mean that all men are highly promiscuous, but it does mean that the men they're watching are.

Men are amazing creatures capable of reining in their sex drives on a moments notice and often just to prove we fucking can - its that feminist bullshit that seeks to portray all men as rapists who cant control their sex drives despite the fact that ~~women~~ sluts who sleep around are the ones who cant seem to control their urges (or remember their birth control).

I cant stand that bullshit equation where men who have sex do it because they cant control themselves and women who do it are "empowered".

I'm sure they wouldn't like me saying sex is is all women want. If you want a girl you can be super amazing but if you don't give her the D the majority won't want you. An asshole can give her the D and she'll want him. Of course the feminine imperative does not want men to know this truth. Women want sex more than you. If you want a woman for the most part you have to give her actual sex. Men stick around for an unguaranteed promise of sex, and even stick around in relationships where they rarely get any sex. In order to get women you gotta give them what they want, sex.

Sex is a psychological need. Check out /r/Foreveralone for examples. Notice that most of those guys aren't complaining about a lack of companionship, but a lack of sex. They could have lots of nerdy friends, but tear themselves apart at home from pussy deprivation.

That said, honestly I think power is higher than sex in terms of ultimate goods. Alpha's are frequently unhappy, even though they have sex on tap. But if you aim for power instead of sex, you'll get sex as a benefit. Philosophically, game is sort of empty because it aims at sex instead of power.

Well I haven't had a sex drive since I was 22 (now 27) because depression made me anorgasmic and kind of killed my libido (that didn't help my depression very much). Anyway, I'm over my mental problems but seems I'm anorgasmic for life. I still long for intimacy. Many girls say they want guys who like to cuddle, well... I'm here but I just seem to meet girls that only want sex. Well whoopdifuckingdoo, tables have changed.

That's not to say I'm different after 22. Even before that, I made a promise to myself at age 15 to not have sex until marriage. Something I've proudly kept true. The notion that sex is all men want is so inherently false, gives me braintumors every time I hear it.

I'm not male but I know what it feels like to have no sex drive. You can lose yourself. I almost did. You ARE more than your genitals and sex drive, and I hope you can find someone that appreciates you for it.

I have PCOS. It's unpleasant and brings about many o' biological blunders. I have to shave more to get the smooth skin I desire, I'm on birth control, not just to keep myself from having unplanned pregnancies, but to make it so my symptoms do not worsen, and if I wanted children, it would be difficult for me to conceive. I am currently using Mirena, the hormonal IUD. It really helps a lot, and I don't have to think about it, or get tested every few months to adjust a hormonal cocktail, even though I still have to deal with other issues.

Boring opener, but relevant, let me continue. After about the first three months of dating my current boyfriend (I'll have been with him for four years this May 4th), I had the libido of a dead turtle. I not only didn't want sex, but I didn't want it to the point where I didn't even notice that we didn't have sex for nearly three weeks before I thought there was something wrong. My dude was basically like "Babe I'm not mad or anything but we haven't boned in almost a month, what's up?"

I mean, I was 20. Teens-Twenties is when my hormones should usually be cranked up to be at my sexual peak, but I wanted nothing, not even to be touched, and when I realised it, it made me feel like something was wrong with me, at my very core.

My boyfriend was very supportive, but it was six months of feeling like something was just gone that should be there. It was a feeling of palpable loss, I've never lost a limb, and I've dealt with some fucked up shit in my life but I've never felt so personally broken as I did when I had absolutely no sex drive, and I had no control over it. Nothing else was wrong, so I couldn't figure it out.

Until I got out of my head and got the IUD implanted my days consisted normally, and ended with my boyfriend cuddling me to get me to stop crying before going to bed. Wanting to want to have sex really hurts, and I can't imagine having to go through that, and lose the support of your partner because they're not getting laid as often or at all, because of it.

It still happens occasionally, but only for a week or so at a time.

We are so inundated with sex every day - Movies, posters, music, TV, Ads, that when it's gone, it feels like something is missing, when really it's only a tiny part of life as a whole.
