I've thought the same thing, there seems to be a sub section of people that naturally gravitate to taking everything seriously, they're clearly very knowledgeable, if not obsessive compulsive but they tend to push their serious views on to everyone else which changes the mood of the whole sub reddit, which can sometimes feel almost cult like at times.
I guess the biggest problem is people forget that everyone is at different stages and circumstances in life, so they're unable to keep a open mind.
I think that subscribers to TRP should be the happiest mofos in the world, they have access to a school of thought that really society is in a constant battle to surpress and hide... they're enlightened to how the mechanics of the game of life are being played, and applying proven techniques to benefit from this knowledge. At the very least they're experiencing their life with their eyes open to the reality surrounding them. Meaning they can avoid or at least expect pit falls before they occur. And recognize and seize opportunities as they arise. They're living with minimal cognitive dissonance, because they get the bigger picture.

After reading the TRP sub for awhile I have to agree in general. On the other hand the "anger phase" and the long term fall out of the pill is a very real and painful thing so the seriousness that tends to pervade TRP is something that is always going to be here.

Yeah, but people who are past the anger phase, and, more importantly, people who are on the verge and trying to get past the anger phase are getting tired of coming here and finding 90% of the content complaining about feminism and how stupid and unfair women are in relationships.

Agreed. I have to remind myself that there's often a lot of understandably angry people that come here for knowledge, or at least validation. My only worry is that a segment of the community is less concerned with personal growth/mastery, and more concerned with community approval. That need for approval is itself a BP symptom that created problems in the first place.

I think the craving of approval is a reddit problem in general; I really have done a huge amount of reading on this sub up to the point of reading the mod's posts. They do a pretty good job of crushing purely approval seekers. As for humor, the sub is growing faster and the influx of "angry young men" is going to increase. So, while a TRP humor page might eventually develop I don't see it happening in the near future .

Craving of approval is much broader than reddit, just look at anything web2.0. Sites like facebook, youtube, twitter, countless humor sites (spreading like a virus), all attract people longing for validation. I've seen it everywhere. Might be a newbie for reddit but have been around on the internet for almost a decade and've seen a lot of things. The only thing that has changed is the user base as the internet is no longer a "loser"-only playground.

I feel like a lot of people take it so seriously and always wonder if they're doing the right thing or the red pill thing. I'll catch myself now thinking I'm not good enough or that that one thing I said or did fucked up my chances at a situation or a girl. I think some of us need to realize to be happy. Let loose. Just strive to do better. Don't take things so seriously, you might have a stroke.

It does get a little stuffy in here sometimes. That OK though. I'd rather it lean a bit towards the pretentious rather than to degrade into snark. I like that people try to write original content and that low-effort posts are discouraged. The subject matter is fairly serious, after all. Topics go well beyond a man's love life, into his relationship with his friends and family, and ultimately his goals in life and the search for meaning. It's interesting and different than a lot of the junk on reddit.
That having been said, humor has its place too. It's one of the best tools we have for helping men unplug and also to move past the anger phase. Once you see the world for what it is, you can't help but laugh at the absurdity.
