Gentlemen, I just read this little gem wherein a group of students have decided to deliberately default on their loans.

Let's read a little snippet:

We paid dearly for degrees that have led to unemployment or to jobs that don't pay a living wage. We can't and won't pay any longer.

And . . .

Repayment plans presented as a helping hand simply aren't good enough. The wrong done to us is deeper than that.

So, let's recap:

  1. Personal agency and acceptance of responsibility? Negative. It's not my fault that I took out loans for a worthless degree. That is someone else's fault.

  2. Bravely taking matters into our own hands? Negative. Let's beg the government to force our financial benefactors to just forgive our debt!

Amazing. Now, as chance would have it, these brave financial protesters have signed their names to the document, not unlike the mighty founding fathers did with the Declaration of Independence. Let's look at those names, shall we?
