I'll keep this short guys; just looking for some general ideas/insights.

Relationship was great (Swallowed TRP around 8 month mark, now at 16 months)...Took things too far and eliminated some of the necessary beta traits required for LTRs. Not saying this is a causal effect but I certainly think twice about what I say/do now and fear it may be doing harm.

It was quite surreal what happened yesterday. My girl saying she felt alone, unappreciated, never thought I'd make her feel that way (as her past LTR have)...It made me very sad. I've been a shit bf! She does so much for me. I knew things hadn't been great the past couple months, but I didn't realize how bad it was. I admitted to my faults; said I haven't been as 'present' in the relationship as usual and become complacent. She gave me the 'You always say the right things but your actions don't show it etc etc you think you know what your doing but relationships require a lot of work it doesn't seem like your willing to put forth etc etc'....I showed real/raw emotion in that moment; a lot of sadness and guilt. Disappointed in myself to be honest.

Now the question is how do I go about correcting things in my own way, without simply complying to her demands (She didn't really make 'demands' per se. But I'm trying to figure out how to improve things in an organic way that does not seem like a forced effort to 'fix' things.)

Cheers brothers.
