Fermi Paradox simply poses the question "given what we think we know about the probability of life in the universe, where are all the aliens?". Great Filter is merely one of the many, many possible explanations.

I really, really hate when people use scientific concepts to lend credibility to their theories. This is nothing but pseudoscience. It's entirely hypothetical and while I (nonetheless) happen to agree with this post, the fact that you draw parallels between Fermi's Paradox and human relationships that don't exist really makes your whole premise weak. It just does not make sense to entertain this analogy. EDIT: clarity

My take on your plight. Understand there is a difference between a "good" woman and a "bad" women within the AWALT framework. My special snowflake of 20 years and I party hard. My special snowflake would never go on a "girls night out" or "Vegas bachelorette party" because she knows in the right instance she could end up fucking a more famous or younger chuck thundercock jr.

Its not because she's a bad person, its because AWALT. What I've seen is that "good" women try and be proactive so they don't end up in a situation where instincts take over - Hypergamy.. et cetera.

If your SO is already positioning for GNO's or trips out of town with "friends" that involve alcohol and shenanigans, you've already lost her.

As a man who has been (relatively) happily married in an RP relationship for 20 years, I still agree with your last statement. Don't get married, the risk isn't worth the reward.

A LTR is only necessary depending on the type of man you are. You see some men here who are RP and happily married. You see some men who are also RP who will only spin plates the rest of their life. It boils down to the question if you dont mind being "alone". You cand find everything you find in a women in a good dog, besides conversation and sex. But your dog wont cheat on you and take your house. Id say, if you have your technique and game down. Sure, have a LTR. But be fucking ready to walk away at the drop of a hat, and dont fall into the beta disease. Remember, AWALT.

I remember someone talking about the fermi paradox a while back on this sub, they said that basically, society/men contented themselves in unlimited escapism, in context of the fact that VR porn is slowly about to get here, and after that, sex bots.

If men can be reasonably happy with sexbots /escapism, not much reason to explore the great unknown, thus we'll never contact another sentient spiecies because they, and we ourselves will be content in total escapism and easy access to sex bots.

What's scary is how much of that you see already with MGTOW. MGTOW becomes more and more reasonable the more technology advances, the coming years, with VR on the cusp, MGTOW will probably get a pretty big boon.

I think an alternative explanation to the Fermi Paradox is just the density of the universe is so low that we're very unlikely to be aware of aliens just because we're so far apart, not that they're killed by their own hubris. However, there is now some reasoning that we have observational evidence of a Kardashev Type II civilization that may have built a Dyson sphere around KIC 8462852. It's only 1480ly away. You might not meet them unless you survive long enough to get to actuarial escape velocity.

That being said, the more I've studied evolutionary/genetic behavior the more I see that "cheating" (monogamy|marriage|etc) is a social construct that attempts to shame women for their evolutionary superior behavior (like a feminist that tries to shame men for whatever they try to shame men about--again, evolutionary superior behavior). Which means that women should absolutely cheat--their goal is to secure the best genetic material possible for their other-half. The Internet currently is a giant whine-fest of billions of people complaining about behavior that will always happen---as if complaining about the weather will influence it into your favor. As much as you lift and as much as you hold-frame, there's always someone "better-than-you." You ain't shit on the evolutionary scale, which perhaps is the ultimate form of stoic awareness. It's not personal, it's evolution. The cultures of humanity that embrace TRP that will emerge in the near future (next two centuries) are going to be something to admire---you're seeing the future of bad-assery.

Even ignoring all the legal minefields of marriage, it makes no sense at all in the lens of evolution. Don't get married, it's not something required by our genome.

I am a slow learner when it comes to relationships, a quick study about girls, but that means I deluded myself into thinking some were different. I've accepted awalt and live accordingly. I'll never again endure an LTR, never again tell a girl I love her, and never will cohabitate again. I'd rather die alone than ever try to trust a girl to be anything other than a girl.

I like some of them, but mostly they're annoying, flaky, boring, overly entitled wastes of oxygen and the only redeeming feature is moist holes to fuck.
