What scares me is that even if your BP example is wrote in a slightly satirical manner and that 100% of BPs will deny thinking like that.

How it should work is that you can't give someone something, instead they have to take it from you and you have to have it available.

Relationships are not a trade of intimicy, comfort and sex. Its a preference. This person increase my life's quality there for I will keep her/him around. And the second he/she stop doing that I'm going to start working towards finding someone else to do it.

Your comment phrases that really well. Saving for those dog days

tl;dr:

BP: Derp

PUA: Fake it

TRP: Make it

[–]JustSoha-1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

this should be addeded to the thread! ahaha

PUAs can actually outsmart biology to some degree. They at least understand attraction from a biological standpoint and can fake those traits to obtain the pussy.

It's a great transition into RP and much easier to swallow than going from BP to RP.

As explained in another post, PUAs are the ones that see a house burning down (society) and they rush in and steal the TV watching the rest of the house burn down.

RPers see the house burning down and take precautionary measures so ensure that their house doesnt burn like the others by observing what caused the fire in the first place.

BPers burn with the house while whining why is this happening to them.

Right, they try to save the people in the house, a noble goal, instead of either preventing the fire in the first place, or making certain that the sprinklers would douse any fire that did come up, or fighting the fire that did come up. All of these would be better that reactionary, after-the-fact futile attempts at self-sacrifice.

PUA way is the best way unless your personal passions align well with what women in your area find "exciting"

[–]pTymN 5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It is only the excitement they want. You can sell anything.

Reiner: Women like you. You know what they like about you?
Counselor: I'm a good fuck?
Reiner: No, they can sniff out a moral dilemma, a paradox.
Counselor: A moral dilemma?
Reiner: Yeah, they are drawn to it, not sure why. Maybe its that, lacking any moral sense themselves, they are fascinated by it in men. Men are attracted to flawed women as well. Their illusion is that they can fix them. Women don't want to fix anything, they just want to be entertained. The truth about women is that you can do anything to them except bore them.

Dialogue from "The Counselor" (2013)

Or you find women who like what you like which is easier said than done.

Or you find men who like what you like. You integrate great men into your life. You find men to talk to about politics/religion/science/work or whatever interests you. You find great men whom contribute positively to your life and you to theirs. You use women for what they do well; pump and dump and use men for the rest.

Personal passions are not as fixed as all that. For example, let's say there is a guy who loves certain kinds of video games - the excitement of exploring an old cave looking for treasure, or (simulated and risk-free) combat with the undead. Generally, the majority of women in any area will not find these passions exciting, in fact they may be a turn-off more often than merely not exciting.

Such a guy - how can he both attract women and still enjoy these things he is passionate about? He should look not at what he does to get his fix of excitement, but rather what about it is the thing he craves. I am one such guy (if that wasn't obvious). What was it about Elder Scrolls games, Thief, System Shock, World of Warcraft that really excited me? It was the adventure that I wasn't getting much of in real life.

My passion wasn't the video games. It was the adventure. I hadn't done much adventurous stuff since being a teenager, but a few years ago I put aside these games to a large extent (I still fire up Skyrim or the like every now and then, no need to go to extremes) and started seeking a little bit of adventure in real life. Urban exploration, geocaching, hiking in general, boating, even a little spelunking. Scuba diving is another great activity that can satisfy the hunting and exploring urge that leads to things like excessive video game use.

These activities are not overstimulating, they are just stimulating enough. A few nights ago I was pissing off the deck of a fishing boat while two decent sized and somewhat agitated pelagic sharks swam in the water a few feet in front of me. This sort of moment seemed to have the same subconscious effect on me that laying the smack down on a nest of vampires does in a game - and more, because it is real, a real moment in my life that I could never have sitting at home, no matter how many simulated ancient vampires I roast!

What I'm saying is that the underlying passions that drive the surface passions (my example being the urge for adventure driving a passion for adventure video games) can be expressed in different ways. The more real they are, the more they bump up your experience levels in real life, as it were, and women can detect that deep psychological change in you. You develop true grit, you are having real adventures, and in my experience a lot of women crave the possibility of being around for such an adventure or two and can end up quite cough 'excited' about it.

Just think about what passions a man who finds himself getting little female attention might have, and how those could be morphed into more real versions of themselves. The primary benefit is to oneself. The increased interest from many women for your passions is a very strong side benefit.

Great post. I have the same passion for exploration and adventure. It took me a couple years to realize that they are much more rewarding the the real world. I still play video games in the winter months or late at night, but I prefer to spend spring/summer/fall on real adventures.

Elder Scrolls Online has turned out to be a pretty good game if you liked Skyrim/Oblivion. I can log in for a couple minutes or an hour at a time, do some exploration or quests, fight through a cave or two, and satisfy that urge. It isn't as fun as hiking or climbing, but it is good for rainy days.

Indeed games can be a fun diversion if ones life is already reasonably full - as long as one does not give primacy to the virtual over the real, it won't be a problem.

(I actually played ESO for a bit, might revive that account in quieter times, when I'm doing less real life stuff where getting eaten by a cave troll is not a concern.)

I find that adventures that can seem tame - find a challenging wilderness geocache, for example - are actually quite fulfilling, even though the stimulation is different than games provide.

I discovered something similar. I grew up when video games first came out. We had pong, and grew tired of it in three days, so it went back. I didn't start gaming often until I was stationed in Korea. Nothing to do on my days off, no money because of the divorce, so games with friends online was something to do.

I tried racing games, but when you own a race car the game doesn't have the same effect. Its missing the entire visceral experience of racing. You don't feel the tires starting to lose traction, you don't feel the g's at launch or in a turn, the shifts don't slam you in the seat, you're missing the best parts of racing when you're gaming.

Combat games are somewhat different. You get to feel the rush of being shot at without the imminent danger and death, you simply respawn and go again if you're hit. You font actually kill anyone, so there's nothing to deal with there, its all pixels. I have PTSD and Call of Duty type games really help with it, because you are missing the visceral part of war. Death, danger, bugs, heat/cold, being dirty for days or weeks between showers, losing friends... all of that is missing, so you can replace the difficult memories and the emotional markers attached to them with game memories. Its much nicer to have a flashback to a video game than a real event.

If you've never been to war, or been in that kind of danger, then the video game is a poor substitute for what you feel, yet part of you wants that feeling. You want to race or adventure, or kill zombies, but most people will not be able to afford the race car, travel the world, and nobody wants to have PTSD, especially those who have it.

Go build the car, make money and save so you can travel, experience the things in life that could kill you if you're stupid, but won't and you can observe them up close, like two sharks at the stern of the boat. Playing video games is a poor substitute for experiencing life. Lead an interesting life and women won't be a worry.

[–]critter_about_towne 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The combat games are a good example of how games might add value to life as long as they are not out of balance with experiencing the real. I was in my nation's military reserve for a while but did not go to any war zones, so while I got a lot of the training meant to prepare me for the possibility, I didn't experience the really hard stuff.

I have more of an exploration urge than a combat urge, but I have found that martial arts can help satisfy the PvP urge while actually exploring (a thing I'm pretty much making a career of) satisfies the PvE urge... oh the game references.

Build the car indeed... another solid way to get your hands on the real, rather than the virtual. Leading an interesting life is exactly the key. Fortune will favour the bold. Even a passion for chess can turn into globe-trotting and competing and be interesting to women if one is passionate and driven about it.

Driving a 700hp/tq street car that makes all that power under 6500 rpm is an experience, imagine if it had some kind of power adder like forced induction or nitrous. A video game can't compare, but you can drive a car like that in a game, but you don't feel anything but your thumbs aching at most. If you have the passion to want something like that, playing games is only taking up time you could be using to do it in real life. Zero to 140 mph in nine seconds is something you have to experience to really appreciate. Zero to 115mph in 12 seconds is something that will scare the shit out of most people. Doesn't sound like much, but when you feel it the first time it leaves you awestruck and wanting more if you're adventurous or never wanting to do it again if you're timid. I love that feeling, its better than sex.

[–]critter_about_towne 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You make a compelling case for trying that out. A life centred around the local Starbucks cannot compare.

[–]2niczar2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's interesting who hates the Red Pill and why. Blue Pillers, no need to explain. MRAs want to suck that delicious whine at the teat of victimhood. PUAs want to believe they can outsmart the biological imperative.

[–]wirelezz1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

PUA isn't "pretending" something you are not. PUA encourages you to become that person by building your confidence. It's not an act.

[–]McRedMan 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Clear, accurate, and straight to the point.

If only the BPers and the "alpha" RPers understood, reddit would be a better place.

[–]whoops_fap0 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I had a ~4 hour long phone conversation with my friend the other day that was completely about TRP and I broke it down basically JUST like that in order to explain what TRP "is".

BP: Find a "nice" girl, treat her like a princess, and in return you will get the love and affection you deserve.

If that's the case why i always see bad guys with lots of women around chasing them and nice guys with no women and attention at all? It's clear that this is actually what women want alphas to act like not the majority nice guys because those top guys get so much attention and have so much options (top 3% guys have 29% of all sex) that they become uncaring about women.

PUA: Act like your life is fun and interesting, and that your life is busy and awesome. Act like you've dealt with hundreds of women before her, and there will likely be hundreds of women after her.

This certainly works but only when it's used against to some extent average and mostly below average women. If you are not in top 20%-10% SMV wise hot girls don't care about you. Because those top guys are both acting like you and have higher SMV than you (better looking, wealthy etc) So you are left behind.

TRP: Create a life for yourself that is legitimately fun and interesting. Fill your life with activities that make your life busy and awesome. Form relationships with as many women as your lifestyle allows you. Constantly be increasing your SMV.

That's the right way but it is incredibly hard to increse your SMV to the top 10% or so. You either need to get extremely wealthy or get in a popular rock band.

[–]WarmMiIk1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not but had a laugh.
