I was going to write this huge wall of text, but instead I'll keep it short, sweet, and to the point. I've been a lurker on TRP for about a year (yes, my account is not that old, I know). But this subreddit really struck a chord with me, and inspired me to take my life into my own hands. Some quick background: I am a senior in college, 22yrs old, employed full-time by one of the Big 4 financial firms as a consultant, and in a LTR with a great girl (think ideal 1950's wife).

I used to be a weak male (not quite beta, but definitely not alpha). Over the summer, after I had landed an internship at my company, I began to really dive in to TRP. Let's just say that by the end of the summer, an intern was known by everyone in the office and acted as a manager for a remote development team. I was offered a full-time position 10 days before the internship ended. My ambition, which had always been low, skyrocketed. I wanted success. I wanted to be the boss. TRP taught me to seize the day, to take charge, to be the Alpha. Coming in to Senior Year, I was the man. And people took notice. I now get invited to parties, "21 Runs", and more low-key social events than I could ever make time for. It feels pretty darn good.

My social standing was transformed so quickly it was hard to process. I was confident around campus, both socially and scholastically. Women now approached me, whereas before I would have been more noticeable if I was invisible. Even when the lady and I go out, women flirt and try to make conversation. The aura of confidence and self-assurance is very real, my friends. And when you know you're the man, other people take note. My grades have also skyrocketed, propelling me from average student (3.0 GPA) to model student (4.0 GPA). Thanks to my sudden and total academic success, professors have taken notice, and I am now consulted on potential syllabus changes to courses in the CS department, and I have even become a prominent member of the school's Technology Committee (Faculty, Staff, select students who come together every month to review and plan campus-wide technological changes).

Some of my closer friends have noticed this turn around, and I have directed them to the subreddit (most of them are betas) in the hopes that they can learn and internalize TRPs truths as I have. After all, who wouldn't want to become the best [insert name] that they can be?

TL;DR - This subreddit is by far the best thing I have ever stumbled across. It has helped me go from 0 to Hero, from beta to Alpha, and has helped me take control of my life and future.

EDIT (Answering some questions):

What lifestyle changes did you implement? I started going to the gym (seems pretty typically of this subreddit). I now go 5-6 days a week, and spend at least 40 minutes on cardio (high-resistance eliptical) and I lift for about 40 minutes doing ladder sets (start at weight x, increment by 5 after each set, hit max weight, then go back down to starting weight). I also started eating a lot healthier (a lot more fruits, vegetables, and meats, while simultaneously cutting out unhealthy foods) and drinking around 120oz water each day. This being said, I allowed myself 2 cheat meals per week (MEALS not days) which would consist of something like a burger and fries or something. Otherwise, living a totally restrictive diet with no reprieve puts you at a higher risk to backslide into crappy eating habits.

Regarding the confidence and self-assurance changes, i started intentionally branching out from my core group of friends and acquaintances. I began engaging others in class and outside of the class with greater regularity. My ability to hold a conversation steadily began to increase, all the while my social anxiety began to plummet. I resolved to step up in class (regarding presentations, answering questions, being a prominent voice in discussions) and set my goal to one class per day (minimum). I also began spending a lot of time on reddit and other news sites, consuming information and becoming more wordly. This helped a ton, as I began to be able to hold conversations about complex issues (Politics, civil unrest, etc.). I learned that information is power, and in this day and age, we have access to more information than we could ever hope to assimilate.

What resources did you use? TRP, MensRights, and some of the required reading were big helps to me. Specifically the Antibiotic Nuke, Relationships, Redpill, and You, and Powertalk were awesome reads. TRP and MensRights helped open my eyes to what our world truly is. Before, I thought I was just you're average loser of a guy, and a relatively isolated case, an anomaly in the perfect little world of campus life. But I learned (thanks to amassing information/knowledge) that the issues I was facing were widespread, persistent problems. I resolved that something had to be done, as I would not live the rest of my life as a doormat. From the Required Theory Reading, Powertalk was especially influential, as it helped me open my vernacular and make mold me into a powerful, influential speaker.

Something else I found really useful were meditative sessions, allowing me to take 30 or so minutes per day to do some introspection and reflection on the day's events. Taking some time to just sit down, disconnect, and do some analysis was therapeutic and highly beneficial for me. It helped me stay on track, identify inflection points, and plan how to defeat current and potential future problems. If you're new into meditation, I'd look for guided breathing meditation tracks/videos on your video sharing site of choice (I have a few I like on youtube). It makes getting in to meditation a lot easier, and helps you focus your mind during the exercise.

Another big inspiration and guiding force in my transformation was a close friend of mine. I'll call him Dan. Dan is, objectively speaking, easily a 9/10 on the sexual market. He is a certified physical trainer, charismatic, and a total lady killer. He actually was one of my big motivators at the gym (he was willing to train me for no cost, which was a huge favor), and mentor me on bettering myself physically. Having a buddy or personal trainer you can work out with is a huge advantage while attempting to physically better yourself. It's a lot harder to blow off the gym when you have someone telling you to get your ass out of bed and onto the treadmill.
