For those of great patience, consider wading through the article's comments and the comments of the linked YouTube video. Notice the following trend: what few replies exist in defense of Will are reasonable, level-headed, and make arguments; the many replies against Will are emotional, indignant, and make insults.

Now consider the three central points Will made in his "controversial" column:

Pervasive, sensationalist claims about college rape culture are almost invariably false.
Purporting to be a victim of rape confers many social benefits.
Genuine victims of rape are marginalized by an overextended, watered-down conception of sexual assault.

These three points aren't just true; they're indisputable. This explains the vacuum of coherent rational thinking from those hot and bothered by the column -- there is simply nothing substantive to say in response. It's that elusive moment in political discourse where one side is just right and the other side is just wrong.

A minor correction: It was the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that dropped his column. The Washington post, in the interviewer's words, "stuck by him".

In any case, this guy is pretty courageous to try and counter the SJW rhetoric with facts and rational thought.

(FWIW though, I wouldn't call it minor that the Post has stuck by him. That is an important distinction. St. Louis is only one of hundreds of markets. Will isn't going to disappear after this.)

I'm outraged. I can't say I am surprised. We live in an era of political correctness. To engage in PC discourse is to engage in fascism. It is nothing but mind control. Part of mind control is to rally behind the safest position, follow the crowd, and denounce anyone taking an "unacceptable" view as a radical, to be hated and scorned. This has now happened to George Will for simply stating the facts: the admin's own sexual assault statistics make no fucking sense.

Logic and math don't matter to SJWs and femnazis, though. They only think with their feelz--the most important one being rage. One of my FB friends posted the original story and called this columnist a rape apologist and a creep, and what if it were his daughter or niece, blah blah blah. She hadn't even read his article. A grown woman with the cognitive skills of a 4th grader. I was so tempted to drop some logic on the matter, but I wisely chose not to.

We don't have the luxury anymore of displaying a dissenting opinion. To engage publicly in this discourse is to paint a big red target on yourself. The enemy doesn't fight fair. They don't want equality, or fairness, or due process. They want to be the judge, jury, and executioner of men. To even point out the most elementary of flaws in their own statements will get you denounced.

His response was brilliant and summed up the hysteria perfectly. 99% of the commenters of course question his sexuality, claim he doesn't have any daughters (when he has a daughter), say he is unbearable, etc. It is clear that none of the commenters actually watched or paid attention to the video. I can't say I'm surprised. The comment section is filled with white knights, feminists, and manginas. If you want to have a good laugh at the dumbass blue pill morons, visit the huffington post article and read the comments.
