There is a lot of brainwashing on college campuses. I remember at orientation we had an hour long demonstration whose only message was DON'T RAPE.

That is what we had to learn to go to school. That's what our money paid for.

Don't bring a hot pot into the dorms.
Don't mess with the fire alarms.
Don't overload the washing machines.
AND DON'T RAPE

Thank god they told us that. I was looking forward to college being a nonstop rapeathon. I'm still waiting for the DON'T MURDER demonstration though.

I actually had a very great lecture on this in my philosophy of sex class. A couple of things I remember that were mentioned. Was the idea of "no" meaning "yes" for some women. Without sexual tension, sex could easily become something mundane and unenjoyable. We had a great discussion about this and all the problems that come along with it. It's unfortunate that you had such a terrible lecture on the subject. What a terrible professor for not talking about the reality of consent.

It's been posted here before and I've lived it through my individual experiences. Women like it rough and nasty. I've even had women say "make sure you bring condoms or you won't get any." That same night shes trying to put my dick in her without it.

I don't like to generalize, but from my experiences, most of my sexual encounters were enjoyable for them because I was not asking for consent. I do what I want and you need to make a clear signal for me to stop. Some my criticize me for this, but the reality is, they love it more than I do when it comes down to it.

Does affirmed consent go both ways? Does the woman have to ask permission to grab my dick? That's funny, I never remember them once asking. They just reach for it, and then I chuckle, and move their hand away saying, "I can do that myself." This later leads to blowjobs and sex.

Or what about when a woman puts her hand your chest or stomach? They're perfectly comfortable touching you, but are leery of you touching them.

I think I used "Affirmed Consent" for exactly one girl after I learned about it. She did not seem to like it at all. It killed the mood and made me look weak. I never used it afterward, and would just wait for them to stop me if they didn't want me to do something.

I love the logic jump. You get called a rapist because you don't believe in this arbitrary unnatural process of "making sure" it's "okay" to have sex via affirmed consent but believe sex occurs spontaneously. Under the rad fems logic, every man before feminism/the introduction of this concept must of been a rapist, so all men are rapists being rehabilitated in her mind, essentially. Wow. What a dim, dark, corrupted mind. The really ugly thing is that girl was not punished for defaming you publicly as a rapist, nobody called her on her bullshit of making such a serious accusation so flippantly without any merit to the contrary. That's pretty fucked up. That's like accusing someone of being a murderer and nobody cares or turns a blind eye. Even worse, this is in a philosophy class, shitty philosophy class that is - a huge part of philosophy is the ability to think critically, calling people rapists because they don't agree with feminist concepts is hardly critical or philosophical, it's damn right small-minded and ignorant. I'd expect more from a class of philosophy students, philosophy is probably one of the few "artsy subjects" or otherwise, subjects that earn little money, that actually requires a ridiculous amounts of abstract logic, critical reasoning and grey matter.

Affirmed consent has no place in a philosophy course, it's a feminist/gender studies/sociological concept at best. To even suggest such a vile piece of propaganda belongs among the greats like Aristotle, Nietzsche, Plato or Bourdeau is to spit on the subject of philosophy and all it embodies itself. How incredibly degrading, I'd check out of that course if I were you, their curriculum sounds weak and their students dim.

On another account, I was involved in surprisingly civil conversation on /r/srsdiscussion where the feminist straight out admitted that if I actually tried to get that level of consent I would regularly miss out on sex with people who genuinely wanted to have sex with me, at least before I pulled the autistic act and started pretending nonverbal communication isn't real.

That's pretty much as good as it gets, for a feminist to acknowledge reality and that there are real negative consequences to insisting that every act is verbally acknowledge and approved beforehand. The crazy part is that she still believed that it is something that men should do since 5 girls might not require it, but the 6th one might feel pressured into sex without it.

She wasn't bothered at all that sexual opportunities are rare for the average guy, and especially so for one that listens to feminists and doesn't approach any girl anywhere for fear that his presence might be unwanted and threatening. She knew that she was asking guys to take themselves out of the dating game all for the benefit of a few girls who are incapable of saying "no" or indicating disinterest in any physical way, such as moving her head or my hands.

Nevermind that they want to rewrite the rules of communication and sex for a few edge cases that are likely to regret sex even if they do say "yes." Nevermind that their vision would result in even less sex for the average guy, while the aggressive guys who ignore signals will have more sex than ever. Never mind that their vision of a powerless woman who could only be trusted to have sex with a man who checks in before every stroke, infantilizes woman more than any misogynist could hope to. Nevermind that a campaign to encourage women to be more communicative and pro-active would be vastly more effective in preventing women from feeling pressured into sex, than telling them they are victims and should depend on random men to protect them from their own inability to communicate.

No, even the "reasonable" ones want men to go around turning down sexual opportunities that both parties are interested in. It was after that conversation that I completely stopped listening, because I knew that the "rape is everywhere" people will never be satisfied with any pattern that is realistically achievable. For my own piece of mind, I don't have sex with any girl that doesn't participate. However, i'll accept things such as her taking clothing off me, putting me in when I tell her to, or answering me when I ask her what she wants me to do during sex. The line between sex and rape is not as thin as they'd have you believe.

I'm not sure how they departmental approval, but there are many classes in the humanities that are taught as though they are feminist theory courses although they are listed as something else.

I once had a class in Film Theory that was only taught from a rad fem perspective. Annoying as fuck.
