I would say that this is a spot on assessment of the usual couple that gets involved in this lifestyle. Usually there will be a mismatch in attractiveness in the husband vs the wife. (wife hotter than husband).

I knew a couple who was well known in the local swinging community. The husband was in awesome shape. He used be on the practice squad of an NFL team as a matter of fact. Nothing about this guy was beta. The wife was a tall, hot brunette. I forgot what she did for a living. I'd say they were both 9's. I just can't see them swinging because the wife wants to have sex with higher quality men. He's still involved with sports, makes good money, and takes great care of his body. He once told me HIM and 3 other guys gang banged his wife for her birthday. In turn, he has been with multiple women at one time on several occasions. Other than the latter, I'm not sure how a guy like this could be into this sort of lifestyle. Based on Athol's assessment, what would a couple like this get out of swinging on a biological level?
