For a pretty long time I’ve been wondering why do overwhelmingly vast majority of posts here, recent notable example would be the "Everything (and I do mean everything) you need to know about how to approach women" post by therealwoujo, take a very generalised, or “top-down” approach of listing a collection of general thoughts on the matter in order to how to interact with and seduce women, for the following reason -
In my job, part of my duties for a long-ish time was customer support. This wasn’t a simple “just restart your PC” support, but a place where I was contacted by people who had real problems with a complex system they paid money for, which in turn caused them to lose money, time etc., which caused many tense, contentious and difficult interactions. By the end of my time in that role, I’ve gotten very, very, VERY good at navigating these interactions, reading subtle cues which tell you “how far you can push”, reading someone's wording choices to know how much it will take to appease them etc. I started at the bottom, then became the manager of that department, then I basically “cleared that stage” and was moved to a more analytical role thanks to my skill at this, at the end I easily was the best in the company at this. I’ve never done anything like that professionally before.
However, the way I learned to expertly navigate these interactions was directly opposite to what TRP offers re: interacting with women, meaning there were no general/philosophical guides that had loose rules which you had to read and “off you go buddy, figure it out”.I would break down my learning process into 3 stages:
Stage 1 - You don’t know anything. You have to rely on your more experienced friends. They tell you: In situation A, THIS IS EXACTLY WORD FOR WORD WHAT YOU SAY. In situation B, THIS IS EXACTLY WORD FOR WORD WHAT YOU SAY. In situation C, THIS IS (...)
Stage 2 - After a while you’ve learned all known/important situations, your pattern recognition starts to kick in. A new situation D occurs, oh no, what do I do? Wait a minute, this is just situation B with a slight variation, so let me just do the same thing. A new situation E occurs, oh no, what do I do? Wait a minute, this is just situation C with a kicker, if someone verbalises that kicker I have to give more concessions but otherwise I can proceed exactly as I do with C etc.
Stage 3, the final one - By clustering the patterns I learned in stage 2, I now have a set of general rules that I can use as a baseline for navigating each situation very well, with necessary adjustments made on the fly to achieve optimum. Example general rules - “do your best not to engage the customer in an intellectual debate”, “do not bring up the TOS unless the situation gets extremely adversarial”, “Do your best not to lie, but there are exceptions where it is the better solution” and such.
As I hope you can see, this is perfectly translatable to the world of interacting with women, however - it would seem that all? posts we’re getting basically amount to just dumping “stage 3” common-sense rules, with zero actionable advice, which makes them be of questionable usefulness, since I would wager a guess an overwhelmingly vast majority of guys such as yours truly are in stage 1. In order to finally change that, I wonder if something like the following idea could feasibly be organised:
Let’s take 20/30/50/whatev members who attained mastery at pulling women, and that we know for sure aren’t by any chance embellishing their achievements a bit. Let’s have each of them write up let’s say 5-10 pulls they made and remember well. However, with the focus on the following: Where/how did you meet her, EXACTLY? What did you say as the opener, EXACTLY? What did you talk about, EXACTLY? If you had some shit tests and you passed them, what were they and your answers EXACTLY? If you remember some notable lines you used, what were they EXACTLY? How did you frame the interaction sexually EXACTLY? When it came time to escalate, how did you do that EXACTLY? (...) Basically anything to narrow down the mode of behavior betas like me would have to emulate to be successful.
To create a kind of a book of examples, from which everyone can learn and pattern recognize on their own.
Maybe organising something like this would be a good idea?
