I think honor is at least partially (maybe mostly/entirely) learned behavior. I remember reading about the differences between things that motivate people. You can have a code of ethics or a code of honor (or both). People who do something that they know is unethical typically feel guilt. People who do something dishonorable typically feel shame.

Guilt and shame have a lot of overlap. The difference can be demonstrated by the Japanese tsunami. Many Americans were surprised at how orderly the Japanese evacuated and waited in line to be airlifted to safety while Katrina had a lot of chaos. It is not unethical to hoard supplies or to try to get first in line, you have the right to try to survive. It is dishonorable. The Japanese would rather risk dying than to lose their honor. We have all heard about the samurai and how they commit seppuku to regain their honor if they do something dishonorable.

Everybody is driven by both morals and honor, guilt and shame. Eastern cultures, such as the Japanese, tend to be primarily driven by honor and shame. Western cultures tend to be primarily driven by morals and guilt. Not sure exactly why the difference, but it is probably due to the fact that Western societies are heavily influenced by religion, which dictated what is right and wrong. I am not a fan of religion (agnostic myself), but I do see some issues with the decline in religion in a society that is governed primary by morals (rather than honor) and derives its entire moral code from it. If western society had a better sense of honor, it would be less of a problem.

We tend to teach boys some form of honor at a young age. For example, if you screw up at football practice, the coach may make you run two laps around the field. You lost your manhood and your honor until you regain it back by running the laps. If you screw something up at work, you stand there and get screamed at by a superior, you shut up and take it and you regain your manhood and honor. Under just a moral code, none of this makes sense because the screaming doesn't fix anything. Under a code of honor, this makes sense because you did something shameful and you can only regain your honor by earning it back through some other grueling task.

Girls are raised differently than boys. Outside of the military, have you ever seen a girl being forced to run laps to make up for something? That's why you often hear women complain about "hostile work environments". If I fuck up, bring the heat. From a woman's perspective, she doesn't know what the heck is going on and she wonders "What the heck does that accomplish? I admitted that I fucked up, why are you still yelling at me? Are you intentionally trying to hurt me? That won't fix the problem.", and then starts crying to make it stop (it is actually understandable for someone to think this way when they haven't been introduced to the concept of honor, it is not easy to explain). They typically have the "I already said sorry, what else do you expect me to do?" mentality. Boys are raised to do tasks to repay their infringement and to reconstitute their honor while girls simply apologize and feel bad.

When women cheat, they do know that it is immoral. They will often acknowledge it is wrong. They might rationalize, he did something bad to me, so I am going to do something bad to him. But they do not feel the lost of honor, and they will not feel like they have to do anything to reconstitute. They already "said sorry and feel bad about it". That is the typical punishment girls get for misbehaving, so that is what they expect as adults too. There are some girls that have honor, but they are exceedingly rare, especially in western society. I once saw a girl allow another girl to punch her in the face cause she did something wrong to the other girl. And she took it like a man and didn't complain afterwards. You don't see that often because it is just not how girls are raised. Also, women get away with being honorless. Try being an honorless man and see how fast your social network deteriorates and how quickly you are ostracized. A code of honor only works if you are shut out until you regain yoru honor (i.e., there is a deterrance of bad actions). Women don't get shut out even when they do something wrong, they just apologize and people let them back in.

The better question is why do men have honor? It's not common in the animal kingdom. You can raise and feed a cat all it's life but if you fall and get paralyzed it will still piss on you and eat your face.

Dogs have honor and loyalty because they are pack animals and have linear hierarchies. As do men. Women are like crabs in a bucket. They are constantly backstabbing each other and trying to climb to the top. Having honor in a situation like that would be disastrous.

It's all about physical power, in my opinion. Picture a scrawny dude, not too swelled in the arms, and two guys jump him. If it's a fight to the death, that scrawny guy has to get dirty: go for the eyes, grab weapons--whatever it takes.

Now picture women as that scrawny guy: thousands of years as the physically weaker half of mankind, centuries afterward as the weaker political entity (on a large scale; in the home I'm sure they wielded their power). They've adapted to fight dirty because they've had a disadvantage.

Fastforward to post-feminism Western culture and you have women who are propped up as "equals" but who have these hard-wired tendencies to disregard honor and do whatever it takes. That shit isn't going away very easily, maybe not ever.

I think it was Bill Burr who had a great joke that seems to fit (paraphrasing): "A man will take another man out only to the point that he's no longer a threat. A woman, however, will DESTROY a man until he's got nothing."

Basically? Evolution. Honorable women die out and fail to propagate their genes. Cutthroat bitches accumulate more resources from males because they compete more. That dynamic's been skewed in America and other feminist-affected countries because males have been conditioned to be less than worthy of that competition.

So, actually, both evolution and supply-and-demand. Hope this clears it up for you.

There is no honor among liars. Women are naturally deceptive. See our entire reproductive process. We lie to you, we lie to friends and family, but mostly we lie to ourselves (see "hamster").

The worst part is the majority of us don't even really notice that we do this shit.

The few of us that don't lie are usually women that grew up in an environment that strongly discouraged lying. Maybe religious, maybe a strong father figure, or maybe a stern mother. Who knows, all that matters is whether or not we were taught from children-on that lying is not acceptable.

Why do birds fly and fish swim? We can speculate about the gender-differential evolutionary forces that led men's and women's brains to function so wildly differently, but in the end that's just speculation, and doesn't change anything anyway.

Recognize the world as it is, and make practical decisions based on your understanding of the best way to achieve happiness in the world as it is. "Why" is a self-indulgent luxury for those moments when you have nothing important to do.

My theory on this is because women's actions have no consequence. Men have honor because everything that they do could potentially lead to a consequence. If a man screws another man over, he can be sure that that man and his acquaintances will never deal fairly with him ever again.

However, when women screws someone over, a man, let's say, the man is expected to look past that and still give her preferential treatment because she's a woman.

Secondly, hamstering basically absolves a woman of all responsibilities in her own mind. How many times has a woman admitted to cheating on her man but hamster'd it away by pinning the blame on him because he wasn't up to par in some way?

The same goes for female criminals, divorce courts, hook-up culture, rape, etc. Nothing is ever the woman's fault.

When you don't need to face the consequences of any of your actions, there is absolutely no need to be honorable.

Women have no stories of honor or loyalty, it's not inbred in them, they don't join the military/defense/police/fire departments because of it's honorable.

It's not a trait that is advantageous to them.

From an evolutionary standpoint, hypergamy is the better choice.

From a cultural/societal perspective, hypergamy is the better choice.

women force loyalty unto men as well because it's the men that are the providers, and thus they choose mates who are loyal (and teach their children about loyalty) because it benefits the raising of their children by having a supporter

This depends on how exactly you define honor. For example certain elements of male honor are basically showing that you are dominant i.e. not someone to be insulted.

My theory is that women do not have honor because honor has always had male connotations. Think of knighthood and chivalry. These words only pertain to males. The female honor system literally does not exist, there are no words to describe such a thing.
