You need a shitload of confidence to be a public asshole. That's the main point. Nice guys with their non-confrontational ways can't display confidence.

By reading this, it really is easy to see how BPers can get this shit all wrong.

Guys are born to not give a shit about these traits found in women. Guys like a pretty face and a nice pair of ta-ta's. Very explicit and clear.

But for girls and their attraction triggers, just look at the amount of words you had to go through just to scratch the surface! Girls are "fortunate" because they don't need to learn TRP to understand this shit. All they have to do is sit still and feel the tingles kicking in. "Asshole does assholish thing, tingles kick in, and she likes him", but for the male bystander, he's just confused and disgusted by that asshole's behaviour. He just assumes that the girl in this situation is attracted to good looks and 8-pack abs because that just happens to be the way his brain interprets attraction in opposite sex.

(girls are attracted to looks as well, but I believe it ranks #3 or 4, with a couple other things being more important and attractive)

It's not the assholery everyone loves and admires, it's the confidence and assertiveness. A great man is not an asshole though, since he has a certain degree of self-knowledge and self-control whereas the asshole is usually just a testosteronized male, which alone usually isn't something that is desireable for long-term relationships. A little bit of "beta" is required, remember? A man who's a "natural", but is not using his mind won't have that much to offer long-term wise. The Book of Pook (absolutely essential and entertaining reading) touches a lot on this theme.

That's just foolish. Even the man with the most ability in the world that has the most pampered, advantageous life is going to need the help of others to accomplish a dream, task, or goal. The group is always stronger than the individual. A man who can't function in a team and believes himself to be beyond the group will be in for a rude awakening.

The Spartans carried a shield into battle to protect not themselves, but the man next to them. That is why losing your shield was considering a most atrocious offense. Together, they formed the phalanx and now today we remember and admire them for their martial prowess and unrelenting devotion to duty. They achieved their fearsome reputation by fighting not for individual glory, but for the group.

The group can accomplish what is impossible for the individual. These lessons persist to today's military men. Losing your rifle is the worst thing an infantryman can do. Not because you are unable to protect yourself, but because you are unable to protect the other members of your squad.

Red Pill neophytes are encouraged to be assholes because being an asshole is better than being a 'nice guy', which is what many men are conditioned to be in today's society. What they found out later is that real assholes only get so far before they burn all of their bridges, whereas the confident and assertive man with the skills of diplomacy and a solid reputation of not fucking people over soars beyond the guy that tries to be a caricature of Patrick Bateman, entirely missing the point and lesson of the character completely.

Instead of being an asshole, strive to be a leader of men. There is a difference.

Lots of different brands of Asshole. Narcissistic Men seem to be the kind of men that you are describing as being the more 'successful' assholes.

I don't understand how people use the word "asshole." To me an "asshole" is some douchebag nerd who hides behind his keyboard and pats himself on the back while he wages some bluepill jihad on people he disagrees with. Some bitter little geek who gets a thrill out of annoying people online who he would run from peeing in real life. You know I had some feminist troll PM me spoilers from Game of Thrones in an attempt to annoy me? THAT is an asshole. A bloody torn one at that.

To me, an "asshole" is a whiteknight loser who thinks that by attacking other men who talk about women in lewd terms he's somehow defending their honor and that they'll reward him with attention and pussy. And then when they don't, he vents his geeky little frustration on the guys who ARE getting laid instead of taking an honest look at himself and realizing "hey if I was a chick I wouldn't fuck that loser either." THAT is an asshole. A sniveling grimy one.

But teasing women and calling them out on their bullshit? Inviting women who are attracted to me to have sex? Talking about women in the same lewd way that women talk about men?

The women I'm banging don't think that's the behavior of an asshole (although they may call me other names in jest). The only people who would seriously consider us assholes are bitter bluepill betas and ugly frustrated fat chicks. The left-overs who are just upset that no one wants them.

There's a fine line between successful asshole and raging douchebag though. You can take the aspects of what makes an asshole successful and dial back the obnoxious loudmouth aspect to be a pleasant person to be around while still get what you want.

Interesting thread. I would follow up with a couple of things.

Assholes don't care how you feel

There's a huge difference between "I want you to feel bad" and "I don't care how you feel".

Women are constantly under pressure from other women to feel in a way that the other women consider appropriate.

It can be a huge relief to be around someone who doesn't care how you feel - a relief that you can feel how you want without them constantly trying to judge or modify your feelings.

A lot of assholes don't, that's what makes them assholes, but I get your point. Women are so used to other women saying things for their social appearance but devoid of actual meaning that it can be a relief to hang around someone who just says what they're going to do, and doesn't care what other people think about it.

** Asshole are real **

"With all the bullshit out there, someone who is real is fucking refreshing." - exactly. Women are so used to being surrounded by other women where what they seem to be is just a mask, it's nice to actually know the person (though again, not all assholes are like this, lol)

** Assholes are not scared to fail. **

Being in the follow role in relationships, oddly enough this gives the women what they love - less responsibility, but more of the power in making the choice. It's like if everywhere you went, people kept offering you jobs. So much less work than looking for yourself, and you always have to power to turn them down.

** Assholes are passionate **

And women would rather be offended but entertained than they would bored.

No . Being an asshole will not get you what you really want, or appreciate it when you get it , It will just make you an asshole.

Now it is true that being a sociopath to some extent will help you in life, lay off thousands and then sleep like a baby , Do a huge stock trade and put a company out of business and go celebrate , Play office politics for blood and don't care who cries in the break room.
