You basically posed a question that you answered yourself. The dogs are stand-ins for having a child and having someone in their life that loves them. If they ever find a person who will love them and/or have a child, the dog will then take a back-seat. This is for the women who are still capable of bearing children. For the women who aren't, you may find that it is the humans who take a backseat as "revenge" for them being passed over. I mean, why would you trust a human when you are in your forties or fifties and have been left, pumped and dumped, divorced, or perhaps all of it was because you were an idiot and drove men away, but naturally, you'll hamster it away as being THEIR fault. Either way, the end result is the same. The person is short on trust, and the animal is as safe source of what they crave: attention, validation, love. The animal will always need them and be dependent on them. They have a reason to live again. If nobody needs you, the meaning of your existence comes into question since people find it hard to live purely for themselves.

If you actually like one of these women, the dog will eventually take the back-seat.

3 dogs by themselves has got to stink. 1 dog is a hobby. Everything in her house must smell like dog drool mixed with turds.

As for pitbulls, this is the favorite dog of insecure roid 'ragers worldwide. I've known pitbulls that are quite sweet, but one day that dog could eat somebodys face for no good reason. Worse than the pitbulls themselves are pitbulls owners, who typically bought the animal to look tough or because of deep seated psychological issues around fear and security like the woman here seems to have.

Women haven't been required to face the consequences of their actions at any point in their life, so the idea of managing risk and liability by actually being a responsible dog owner is bogus to them. Plus she gets to carry this "will they be open minded and accept my dogs" drama with her whrlerever she goes.

I'd put this lady in the category of female dog owners who have very proudly told me that their dog is has a wonderful personality but simply doesn't like or trust men in general. No, lady your dog has socialization and training issues and you are projecting your fears and prejudices unfairly on an animal that could get you fairly sued or charged and the dog unfairly destroyed.

Women drawn to and rescuing powerful dog breeds are often doing it for attention and aren't wrapped too tight. Reminds me of the weird short and fat woman I knew that had 3 great danes.

also I don't really know how not wanting to bring a kid into this world is fatalism. I have no idea what the future holds but it's tremendously unlikely to improve to the point where I'd want to bring a kid into this world. completely aside from all laws and neutering of parents' rights and even mens' rights, just the overall landscape of the world is insufficient for me to want to bring another human into it.

As a Dog trainer most dogs with issues end up being owned by women because they are overly affectionate and treat them like a child.

As a dog person my GSD is more important to me then any other thing on this planet.

If I had a choice of saving his life or humanities well looks like I'd have a lot more open space.

This culture of single women + pets is part of the whole feminist deterioration of society - Western women treat their dogs better than they treat their boyfriends (and then they wonder why they 'can't find good men').

Pets are absurd if you really think about it. They are ultimately mostly just substitutes either for human companionship, or babies. But we're human, and what we really want is human companionship. "Do not accept substitutes" is how I think of it. We simultaneously have an epidemic of loneliness, and an epidemic of mindless 'ooh I love my doggie' zombies.
