Alright, my guy, I hear you, but let me slow you down for a second. You're calling all this “gaslighting,” but it sounds more like you're just getting tripped up by standard female behavior. You're not dating a sociopath, you're dating a woman. Women say contradictory stuff all the time, they poke, they tease, they say things without thinking. Most of the time, it’s not some evil plot to make you question reality, it’s just how they talk. You ever seen two women have a conversation? Half of it is side comments, little digs, and saying “I thought you said…” even when nobody said it.

Now, are you being shit tested? Yeah, probably a little bit. But it’s not always malicious. Most of the time, it’s unconscious. They’re just checking your vibe. Do you fold and get defensive, or do you laugh it off, tease them back, and keep it moving?

You could’ve turned all that around with a smirk and a joke. Mojito bar? “Damn, you trying to class me up. I’m just a humble beer guy, but let’s see what this minty nonsense is about.” The Ronaldo thing? “Yeah, I root for the guy with the better haircut. Which one’s that again?” Don’t take the bait. Half of these “tests” you’re failing are pop quizzes you didn’t need to take.

And let’s be real, you’re dating a girl who’s inviting you out, sharing her interests, and trying to engage with you. She’s not negging you, she’s just being a woman. This isn’t gaslighting. This is banter, bro. And if you want to keep her interest, you gotta stop overanalyzing every little comment and start leading the vibe.

So yeah, stop trying to win arguments that don’t exist. Be playful, keep your frame, and for God’s sake, don’t let a mojito throw you off your game.

This isn’t even shit testing it’s just being oppositional and defiant to reframe your choices and opinions as negative to control the dynamic and constantly keep you on the back foot (which you are because it’s in your head and you’re venting to Reddit). It’s why she didn’t commit to a stance on the Messi thing until you did. Didn’t matter if you picked him first, she would have said the other guy just to defy you and maintain a weird sense of power in the discussion.

This is a girl who’s going to continue making you miserable because her base operating system tells her to constantly subvert you to regulate herself, and you have no game or strategy you can counter with because it’s a survival mechanism she likely developed at a young age. It’s like thinking you can outsmart someone from their need to eat.

The only part I agree with is that some of it may be unintentional because it’s just how she relates to men. She’s a lost cause and you’re risking death by a thousand cuts if you continue trying to spend your emotions and cognitive resources trying to manage what she does like breathing.

Women shit test for all kinds of reasons, most have no clue why they do it, it's automatic But they all respond with greater attraction & respect for when you pass the test: agree and amplify. It's fundamental knowledge you have to master.

Have fun with it. Quit complaining and lean in. Don't take what she says so seriously, the words don't matter. She's inviting you to banter and charm her, laying down the fucking tiles. All you gotta do is walk.

I think it could be possible a woman might unintentionally shit test you thinking you're low value but not entirely convinced - to the point passing them isn't convincing her uncertainty.

I did this with a latina once online. Just talked straight shit to me calling my hobbies gay and what not. Eventually the conversation was just infantile.

It feels like your woman likes to make assumptions from the info that she has, which most often is incomplete. In short, she is jumping to conclusions in order to sort the world into specific boxes so that she spends less mental energy on every thing.

If you want a similar example, imagine your mother making you some specific meal for months on end just because you said you liked it once.

Firstly, get a hold of yourself man. This isn't really shit-testing and it certainly isn't gaslighting.

Secondly, women aren't some perfect supercomputers designed to test you and make you jump through hoops. She's human too, and probably totally confused by you!

You're being WAY too analytical and touchy about stuff (and effectively failing the vibe test, let alone a shit test). And I don't mean failing her vibe test... you're ruining your own vibe.

When it comes to situations like this, you got to look at the bigger picture. Does this girl like you? Has she been good to you? Has she put in effort to see you? (Sounds like its a yes for most/all of these). So if that's the case, then act in good faith. Not every contradiction is a shit test, and not every assumption is just to rub you the wrong way.

Speak up for yourself when you feel like you've been got wrong (and not in a rambo way).

Because every time she recommends I watch a movie and I don’t watch it, that means I don’t like movies…

I mean her options are; you don't like movies, or you don't give a shit about her reccos... and she's "chosen" the better one to save her own ego, but is saying it in a way that is showing that she's concerned it might be the other.
