Yeah thats different. Like where I spent most of my time working when i was younger would have taken 4 hours (2 hours each way) by public transport vs a 20 minute drive each way also had free parking or the company would not have been able to hire anyone.

Like it makes sense not to own a car in a major city. I have been working here in city centre at times as well. Yup car gets dumped but i still need it to go grab a train in the morning. It would actually be cheaper to drive it. But I get shafted on parking costs.

Funny thing about cars. First car I had worked out to be £20/mo 2nd was £28/mo and the 3rd is £38/mo (still decreasing) in terms of cost for the physical car :)

People here always say they cannot afford a car and stuff. In reality for a cost comparision its £25-30/mo for a gym or standard mobile phone contract etc.. etc..

In fact there isn't a single appealing thing mentioned in the dating profile about the person. The car, job, house is kinda a normal thing for somebody to have by the time their 30 here as well. I have also come across girls who says things like "I have a house" where it really means "I rented a house" or "Stole the house off my ex husband" or in the UK here it can also mean "I have a council house" which really means. I declared myself homeless but because I am a single mother I got a free state handout.

This situation reminds me of something I observed with a friend of mine 20 years ago out of the USA: We were walking by a gal working at a kiosk who was cute and thought, if we weren't taken, we'd have asked her out. We didn't mind that she had a crap job. On the contrary, that meant she had potential to build up as we saw it. Like seeing a great vacant lot we could build a home onto.

I marveled that if a career woman was 33 and saw a handsome guy working in the same job, perhaps she might want to bang him but would she consider him as relationship material? Would she do what my grandmother did and consider helping him reach his potential such as advising him on how to go to school and basically "make" her alpha male?

Nope. American women want basically a top end TV at black friday prices WITHOUT waiting in line.

Yeah the thing is I would not have minded if she had a crap job to date them. However I have also always had a standard that they have to pull their weight in a releationship from a money point of view to a certain degree. As I have gotten older those standards have increased.

The reason for this is that all the women I have ever gone out with simply don't offer anything else at the table any more. The traditional role is mostly automated or augmented so they cannot add value to lifestyle in that regard.

The other flip side of this as I have got older the legal consequances of a committed releationship have basically gone up for me. I basically have more to loose and those consequances are things like consting me retiring 10+ years earlier.

One things for sure... when the make it / break it times have come along in releationships and commitment eg things like living together all women I have gone out with have made a move for the momey in obvious ways. Like when I first bought a house the person i was seeing at the time basically wanted their name on the mortage but of course was not dropping any part of the deposit. My solution to that was simple. You want your name on it. She had to put up 50% of the deposit.

So funny enough that didn't happen. But she insisted on it as a non negoatiable thing to move in.... so that never happened. Things went south shortly afterwards. The interesting things was I could tell who was giving her this advice in the background.

So now I am in my 40's. I still come across women who are living at home with their parents in that age group who don't drive. They simply are not releationship material. Its like they are still living like a 18 year old and completly clueless about how the world works and reality. Its really a filter for people who havn't done anything about their own problems as an adault. This makes them sometimes fun to date but always turn out to have a long term negative impact on your life by holding you back rather than helping in any way.

Its really less about the money and more about making good decisions in life and when people get older these become really obvious to spot.

I remember being in a bar one night. I was also needing a new car and one of the guys there I new owns a car dealership who was a friend of mine. The look on a girl face when I basically bought the car from him right there and was able to negotiate cash for it and a bit of a test drive. The guy gave me the car for the rest of the weekend to test drive it based on the fact come Monday morning I would give him the cash for it if there were no problems. She didn't even know that sort of negotiation was even possible..... or people even did that sort of thing.

Hence i the previous posts why my cars are cheap. In the UK here you basically pay cash and you get things like 20% discount immediatly because of the 20% VAT rate and the fact a loan / paper work isn't required. I get the 20% because of the VAT and the other guy gets about 32.5% of the margin becuase it doesn't go though income tax as its not processed in the company accounts.

I see your point. You remind me of guys in my generation who had some measure of success and weren't offering "old school" housewifery to women anymore because of the legal liability. One of these gals had the NERVE about 2 weeks into the relationship (and after sex) to prattle on about how I needed to "man up" later and wife her up and let her "sacrifice" her "career" and then she'd go on a spending spree of big ticket items: $10,000 diamond ring (this was in the 90's, and that amount was specified), big house, new car, the works.

Question for you is what do you mean by women bringing money to the table? Do you mean literally on dinner dates? I never had much success, 30 years ago, getting women to pay their share on dates without them getting totally nasty about it. In theory, if a career woman did date me and I paid for a modest dinner, she at least a few dates in, particularly after sex, would then handle her own finances because she wouldn't have the "pay for the dinner date or no sex for you" blackmail leverage on me anymore.

It also makes sense, in your case, that if you're dating women in their 30's and 40's, there's a plethora of women available who have jobs and cars so why deal with the train wrecks?

Its quite literally that. Marriage law splits stuff 50/50 its how its laid out. They need to bring around 50% otherwise your going to get burned.

Same with dates. I would setup a date a few times. But if the girl doesn't reciprocate there are no more dates. I really could not be arsed inventing things for them to do all the time. It has to come across the table from the other side. They gotta do stuff for me and stuff I am going to enjoy.

Yup... but its not just in the 30's/40's. I have done this since my 20's. I NEVER dated the princess personality. I always dated women who were practicle and competent in life that way you don't spend all your time having to do such basic stuff from them that they should be able to do for themselves.

I was doing something right. Ended up in a releationship that worked really well for 12 years. She also didn't want to get married or live together (she had several relative that were screwed in divorces and didn't want to do the same thing to anyone). Rather that we played the system to the full extent in the UK here both ending up with houses. So in a way she got the house but I didn't get divorce raped. The tax payer did!!. That girl was good. I NEVER had to do valentines day with her either. It was simple.... if I did it one year she had to do it the next lol. So... she could not be arsed with doing that... so she didn't expect me to do it either. The whole thing simply was good for both of us in the long term... nobody got burned at the end but yet both people walked away much better off for being in it.

I tend to think of releationships very different from the rest of the population. I actually think what is was is exactly what a non traditional modern releationship actually looks like but extremly hard to find mostly because a whole pile of men want a traditional releationship but also because women think they do but actually they want the positive parts and want to do none of the negatives.

Looking back, I realized about 10 years in I didn't have the looks to get away with demanding women pay their share on the first date so I gave up. I didn't throw in the towel entirely, but I knew that I had to cough up 1st date money. Doing the reciprocity you suggest up to then still, IMO, allowed the women to set the precedent that they were going to make sure I was identified as the breadwinner (I paid first, to show that if someone was going to be kicked out for not earning money, it was going to me.) They might pay on the second date, but the message was clear: I was putting up the risk.

Did you manage to get women to pay their share on a first date commonly or did you need to pay first date and then switcharoo? While that is still pretty good, it does set the precedent that you, me, we can't hold women to the same standards as men. Hence, MGTOW for those that don't find those unicorns in youth who pair bond and are ultra traditional.

Unless of course they were not that bad. In which cause you did them to jump though the hoops to get laid. Then you got rid of them real fast afterwards especially if they were not that good (most of them are not).

As you say it sets a precedence for what becomes expected all the time and its only going to get worse. I simple have never given in to that. I simple don't go and do stuff I don't really enjoy just to please the other person.

It was hit and miss. Often I used to pay for the dinner or something which was followed by drinks if it was going well in which case she bought the drinks which is basically like paying for 50% of the dinner.
It doesn't have to be direct "Lets split this".

Though I mostly avoided dinner dates entirly early on with a girl typically. If they were in it for the dinner. Well wrong type of girl in which case you don't date them. Like you don't just blindly jump into dates costing £50-80+ with somebody you don't know. Thats a stupid use of money. Lots of dates are really really bad. Dinner is awkward to exit from quickly (its a formal process basically). Drinks / coffee are not. You simply down the rest of your drink and leave. If they "expect" way more than that and your out £3-6 if you bought the drinks and 30 minutes of your time. If a girl refuses to date because your not treating her like a queen right from the start... well no. Shes dating for all the wrong reasons. Something to figure out from women really fast is why are they there and what they are looking for. Like what is their goal (often they don't have one).

I have quite literally been on dates which have lastest less than 3 minutes. Like quite literally sit down at a table get a couple of drinks start trying to get into a conversation and the girl pull's out her phone and starts texting etc... I will quite literally finish my drink and leave after asking some obvious questions / hints (Are you expecting important news?). Like you know in case somebody isn't well or something.... We grab a table / perch and the girls just disappear off onto the dance floor immediatly. So... we look at each other shrug our shoulders and pointed at the bar necked the drinks and proceeded to get a few more and got quite drunk.... then we left... for another club where we met new girls...

That particular program is a good example of how social media has driven women absolutely insane. Men wouldn't behave that way on a television program. (Most) of us at least try to put on the pretense of being a decent being on camera. This goes for formal situations as well.

I'll agree (to disagree) on whether we can hold women to the same standards. You said all men have to do so but this means essentially that all of us have to be perfect nannies to a bunch of toddlers who will run with scissors and play in traffic if we aren't continuously monitoring them.

But that's not how men are. The way society works is that 19/20 men are civilized with minimal, repeat minimal, social constraints and also think logically. Heck, men's civilized behavior is a bit TOO much of late in that men in other cultures wouldn't put up with his nonsense here.

For me, red pill was about abandoning feminism and progressive ideals and these progressive ideals including the notion of wmoen's equality as well as a color blind society, "limited" government, globalism and such. EVERYONE I know thinks I'm "off the rails" and that's just it: We need to get out of these ruts, IMO. But that's up to other men, of course, which is about, ironically men being choosers and women doing what they like to do: Follow some hivemind.

Oh I realise its practically impossible. People sell out (I did mention that). aka Its a wet pipe dream in reality. But technically possible!

For me the red pill is poor terminology. It means different things to different people and in different areas. Like most htings to terms and being thrown around loosly and assisciated with things they should not be.

I never accepted the progressive ideals. I didn't think much of feminism either. I look at the world from quite a different perspective to most. Its nature rules..... which ultimatly dictate the outcome of what happens and the events to get there regardless of what policies and parts are put in place to try to over come them.

When I talk about that stuff most people don't get that true meaning and how deep it runs at all. Even most of the red pill guys don't go very deep with it.

So natures rules is evolution. Its about survival of the fittest its often refered to. But people tend to think that of the biggest / strongest fights stero type. Which is quite far from reality. Its about traits.

The real reality is we live in a changing enviroment. What worked yesterday may not work tomorrow. So almost any enviroment and animal is rewarded typically be posessing certain traits over a longer period or time. Such as strength, stamia, determination, health, creativness, adapablity, intelligence, social, emotional, looks, communication, memory retention etc.. etc.. you can probably messure this with over 50+ criteria if you search hard enough.

The ones that see to pay off in the modern world is definatly creativeness, intelligence, adaptability and determination.

It's like the case of the "alpha man" people often see this as somebody who is tall, good looking, physically fit. But fail to realise not the real qualities people are being rewarded for. Yes... they get more options for sex. But the other traits rewards way better in terms of a much better outcome. This wasn't always the case but stuff changed.

A good example of this is somebody like usin bolt can be outrun by a teenage girl whos a trained middle / long distance runner. Yeah it turns out sprinters are particularlly bad long distance stuff. It doesn't matter how determined they are either the chemistry fails.... Its why all the worlds long distance champs are basically from about 3 specific place in the world. Same for the sprinters...

Its part of why I have such ruthless partner selection. Its not I wan't equality in a partner the way that femist see it. I want certain traits and those traits make the person much more powerful in the world than they typically appear to be. Funny enough this is a useful trait - its makes the person particularlly dangerous in some ways.

I woke up to that sutff when I was in my teens that was over 20 years ago. Its a view point that has worked well for me over the years in all sorts of ways. Interview processes (both sides), working, living, dating etc.. etc..

Meanwhile I have seen a lot of modern men think of "alpha" as somebody who goes to the gym and works out and looks strong. The problem is the strength the is surface deep the moment they loose some of the other traits. Without them by very defination cannot and won't ever be at the top.

The thing about being far enough up the hierachy is first you must decide which hierachy you are likly to be compeditive in. Lots of men don't realise this..... most of the women don't either.

Like as you say you think men are the ones that choose. Which isn't accurate. Women don't choose either. Both actually get to choose its more like a complex set of negotiations between both. Both get to choose but also both get to reject. But we do it on different terms and conditions.

Like for example men tend to get rejected up front in a releationship. Women tend to get rejected down the line somewhat further eg men refuse to commit. But a lot of that is because the constructed rules in the enviroment are damaging long term.

Yeah... the men here are not putting up with it. Thats the thing. It just looks like we are. What we are really seeing is a group level negotiation between men, women and goverment. If you don’t mind me getting even further off topic, a bit, I’m chuckling in that socio-biological reasoning is plentiful in the modern age as nearly everyone engages in it either to gain an edge over others or to rationalize their own self-serving behavior. H-guy is the most reviled figure in human history yet he also defines our modern culture unlike, say, Eastern Europe and Josef Stalin whom they simply cancel cultured. For your amusement, I’ll regale you with a tale of a discussion I had with a feminist about 25 years ago who was enraged that I picked a particular “trait” among women I dated. She screamed I was evil for doing so while others pointed out that this was my mere personal choice in whom I courted. Then I pointed out that she didn’t date short guys and she rationalized it, paraphrase, “Well, they’re unattractive so they’re losers so that makes them do bad things because they’re losers so it’s ok to marginalize them because it makes the world a better place.” I pointed out that she was PRECISELY acting like H-guy did unlike me who didn’t portray people I sexually rejected as sub-human but just not my cup of tea.
This is a neat distinction between how men and women reject each other in that men respect women, overall, and most won’t mock or socially demean an unattractive woman we’re not asking out (at least when we mature past juvenile, childish behavior.) This is a fundamental act of a responsible person: I am making decisions but at least acknowledging my reasons for doing so without expecting the other person to accept the guilt for my shallowness or selfishness. Sex is one of the most emotionally fraught decisions we make and it’s a real test of someone’s mettle in how well they handle decisions in it.
The often quoted hypergamy of men to have as many kids as they can and move off is a neat example of how modern civilized man rises above raw instinct. It’s “hypergamy” to be a psychopath and kill strangers for their wallets but most men fortunately wouldn’t do this even if they could get away with it. Most men I know don’t want illegitimate children they don’t know about growing up in poverty because they wanted to enjoy a few sex acts. Of course, this is MOST and gets us to the current state of civilized affairs:
The “traits” women pick for, height and charm, are interesting in that they are not producing superior offspring. Shouldn’t the children of welfare mothers be either attractive or intelligent? It’s my consensus that the default socio-biological behavior of women is “rutting”: They bang the first guy who makes a move hence many of these women have sex with the first guy that meets basic criteria. As women age, of course, their criteria and demands of men rise even as, amazingly, their bargaining options decline.
Onto your point about traits. It’s a good point and something I should have considered 30 years ago because now that I’m married with a child, I look at traits in a more neutral, logical fashion. My wife is a nagger and sometimes I gotta put a stop to it and I tell her to direct her ire against my enemies. She’d make a wonderful policewoman. My daughter is energetic which I direct to sports and socializing. Heck, perhaps the single most important trait to consider is having a trait at all. So many women I met were, quite frankly, boring and like the “table” as in a woman brings to the table “the table” which ironically objectifies themselves.
But these “traits” are of little use to me if they can’t, er, be of use to me. :-)
The fundamental problem with eugen(oops, bad word!), er, socio-biology and free market thinking is that it requires catastrophic, “reactionary” behavior to effect change and at times it literally throws the baby out with the bathwater. Humanity’s growth is due to seeing THROUGH the environment rather than adapting to it.
Feminism is a symptom of an over-introspective western civilization that is going through an existential crisis although it was the first symptom to appear (going back 200 years.)

Yeah true. Most people are self serving. Or serving themselves in small groups / tribes. eg friends, companies etc...

Yup somebody who is truly self serving will try to negotiate by picking on their own terms but not give you a chance to have any say in your terms. Thats what feminist do. They behave like a dictator. Ever notice how people who can actually negotiate will always give the other side something in return? In order to have a good deal you gotta paint a win / win situation for both sides. Something I notice in a lot of younger people is they have a complete in ability to negotiate a "fair deal" quite often.

Also on the side as a whole its bad for society. It almost always results in a short term win and a long term loss thats because natures rules always surface at some point later regardless of how selection was socially constructed.

So in effect this is a changing enviroment all the time and it looks different from different perspective depending on which stage of life there is. So people are adapting to make the best use of that.... Which irocinally feminism in a way had created a massive market for some people to profit in the late life stages of women.

Irocinally this is why when people attempt to contol social behaviour by making policies. Often the opposite negative reation occurs as the actual outcome. This happens because of things like... being able to live on a state benifit and child support. Suddenly the people don't find the need to select somebody on criteria because the social policy up hold those standards regardless... until suddenly they don't. You know when the state becomes bankrupt because everyone starts doing it and the kids grow up to the point where they no longer qualify for child support. Suddenly their income implodes.

This is why we see things like women seeking bailouts and ready for a real releationship. Its the moement they realise they fucked up their choices and their selection criteria and suddenly it cannot be "undone".

So the long term effects which are really starting to be felt of things like the policies like child support and tax credits are you now have a whole pile of women trying to enter into a workforce aged 35 - 50 with absolutly zero skill other than "single mom" and reality hits them smack in the face. Which is really adjusting the outcome on the enviroment. So to resolve it they plan to put more social policies in place (eg universal basic income). Failing to reailise the social policies were what actually created the problem in the first place. So... lets do more social policies ....... which deepens the problem further.

So things like the massive rise in things like depression. Is a brutal way of nature taking its revenge for bad decisions in life later on. Natures rules always surface somewhere.

Bill gates learnt this the hard way. So did many charities. They went into starving africa with food aid. Which enabled the population to grow further. Deeping the problem. But also destryed what local farming industry there was because they could not compete with "free" and the reality was then they could not pull the food aid out because they had made the problems an order of magnatude worse. So they had to go back in and spent orders of magntitude more money trying to unfuck it.

Same has happened in the UK here. If we removed most/all benifits tomorrow (eg same as high inflations or serious austerity cuts). Large sections of the population would be in a complete mess almost instantly. But there also isn't the resources avilable to "unfuck" the system either.....
