Keep your expectations low whatever you decide. I pawned my ex's ring off. I got fraction of the price I paid. I tried to haggle, but the pawn guy (is there a name for these guys?) said diamonds aren't worth shit used, and was only paying me for the metal.

Maybe I did it wrong, but that's my 2¢
